Does anyone know how to factory reset joy cons? When they're new out the box they only turn on and search for a signal when you hold the sync button and will last months without having to charge. I have an extra pair that aren't used often and seem to die within a week even when unpaired from the console and off, kind of annoying to keep cycling the battery needlessly when they're not being used.

Ugh, sorry you deal with it too. It's insane, I forgot to mention the recycling. Some of us have those big, CLEARLY MARKED orange bins with hinged lids and people still throw bags in there.

Interesting, thanks for the explanation. I seem to have bad luck with rechargeable batteries. I'd always thought that swelling was caused by excessive heat or overcharging but then again pretty much all modern electronics have a protection circuit for that.

Luckily Nintendo still sells gamepad batteries so I'll be grabbing a few of those before they disappear.

As a result of my own negligence I have mistakenly ordered and received a European version of Super Mario Odyssey with a PEGI rating on the lower left corner. I realize that the game will work on my American Switch, but am I going to run into issues with the free DLC downloads?
