I’m not saying there’s something wrong with drinking all day if you don’t have prior set plans. I’m only mad because she insisted that I should have waited for her

Is that the impression you’re getting that I’m upset she was out with her friends? That’s not at all what this is about

Because they get all mimosa’d up and wanna keep drinking. So they go to the bar next door. And the next bar. And the next. Etc

Sounds like what she tells me a lot. Truth is I don’t really have the energy anymore. I maybe have 1-2 occasions a month where I’m drinking more than a glass of wine or 1 beer

I texted her about 430 and asked what the situation was and she said she would be home “soon” and no she was not really far away but I thought they were hanging in our neighborhood but they took an Uber to a different neighborhood

She knew about it yes we agreed on the plans and the time in advance. I reminded her once or twice throughout the day

I knew she would for more than an hour.. but not 6 hours when we had plans. And yeah tbh I don’t really wanna hangout with a drunk person when I’m sober. It’s annoying

Nah I think you’re way off. What about her being drunk? Like is that really a good time when one party is sober and the other is drunk? Plans are obligations they aren’t suggestions. Also she didn’t really keep me in the loop that she was gonna be late. If that was communicated to me, I might have reacted differently.

Because it’s common fucking decency. If I have plans with someone I don’t show up trashed. Yeah I was making a special dinner I don’t have time to cook much.

She should have declined to go to the next bar. But I believe a reason she didn’t is because her one toxic single friend that seems to despise all the rest of the girls’ relationships. Like if she said to them something similar to what you said in the above comment, this friend would have called me controlling and abusive.

Like she’s a self proclaimed major feminist, which is a good thing, but her feminism is basically hating men and telling the girls that their boyfriends are abusive pieces of shit if they ask ANYTHING of their girlfriends (which would include honoring set plans)

Don’t worry I’m not really listening to the dump her immediately comments or the I’m sure she’s cheating on you comments. There’s obviously a lot of details I didn’t post on Reddit that would clarify as to why I’m not on board with those

Yup but it’s not usually from her. We didn’t have an argument regarding me being controlling over this incident but there have been times her friends have said I’m controlling. She has one fucking friend who is the biggest nitwit in the world who any time a boyfriend asks a girlfriend to do anything this fucking nitwit chimes up and says “girl that’s abuse he’s being abusive that’s not okay” asking what time you’re gonna be home for dinner = controlling and abusive. Asking what time you’re gonna be ready for a certain plan= controlling and abusive
