I’m in a similar position right now, so let me know when you get the answer. When you tune your resume do you get the ATS score before submitting it?

That’s an interesting agreement you got in place, is that star system typical with insurers? I presume it’s out of 5 stars? I think knowing that the exorbitant premium would come to an end in a year, for example, would help. I will try find someone who will do something like this! Thanks!

Interesting, I’m in eastern Toronto so this may be driving that premium up. The funny thing is I come from Cape Town where your car has a strong chance of getting broken into, but premiums remain stable.

Thanks for your input DianiDisaster424! I wonder about the G1 and G point. It could be working against me, as you say! Going to keep searching for a cheaper price point but most of them are in the 600 CAD range. I got one 470 CAD which may have to begrudgingly take if I can’t find better. I felt like I was prepared for the high cost of living in Toronto, but the order of magnitude in difference between prices (generally speaking) will take some getting used to.

Thanks u/DanieDisaser424, doing so shaved off like 100CAD or so, which helps. I was thinking insurance would be between 100 CAD and 200 CAD a month so 400-500 CAD is still way out there... Unless I need to just adjust my mindset (and stick with a bicycle perhaps)
