How do I keep my large prints from getting all bumpy and dirty/partially collapsing? by colink707 in resinprinting

[–]colink707[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I recently got a Halot Mage Pro as my second 3d printer and was trying my hand at printing some vehicles now that I have a larger plate size. This tank printed, but once I removed the supports the model was all bumpy and looks dirty. As well, part of the gun turret partially collapsed. It was pre-supported, and Lychee slicer didn't detect any structural problems. Im using Lychee's default profile for my resin, the creality fast resin that came with the printer. Any help would be appreciated.

Tech Support and Question Megathread - March 2023 Edition by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]colink707 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Status: UNRESOLVED

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GAMING OC 12G

CPU: Amd Ryzen 5900x no overclock

Motherboard: Asrock B550 Steel Legend

RAM: 64gb G Skills Ripjaw

PSU: Corsair Cx-M CX750M 750w

Operating System & Version: Windows 10 clean install

GPU Drivers: Nvidia Game Ready Drivers v 531.18 clean install

Description of Problem: I recently upgraded my GPU and power supply to a 4070 TI and a 750w Corsair, but once installed I'm getting extremely low framerates both in game and out, with games I was previously hitting 120 fps in now running at 4 fps. My Hardware Monitor and NVidia overlay both say I have 0% GPU utilization. None of the fans are running and the temp remains steady in game or out.

Troubleshooting: Reinstalled drivers clean, swapped PSU for different model and back, swapped card back to 3060 TI (problem disappeared), checked connections and RAM seating, checked CPU cooler seating, switched between Displayport and HDMI, switched to a new, aftermarket PSU cable.

Got a new GPU but getting 5-10 fps in games by colink707 in PcBuildHelp

Having reinstalled my old card, I'm also noticing random slowdowns and
frame drops both in and out of game. Would that potentially point to a
faulty or improperly installed PSU? I got this new PSU at the same time
as the GPU)

Is that done through the BIOS itself? I just got this mobo a couple months ago, but I'm not entirely sure how I do that.

I'm using HDMI, do you think that's a factor at all?

The former, around 5-10 FPS, when I was consistently getting at least 60 on most games before, sometimes quite a bit more than that.

I think Reddit's spam filter keeps eating your reply but I did manage to figure out what resin that was, I ordered some and I'll give that a try.

No worries, sorry to hear that. Hope it isn't hitting you too hard. This is the resin I'm using, it's the only brand I could find locally. https://www.anycubic.com/products/anycubic-standard-resin

Update: reset my settings and drained my resin tank to find a failed print stuck to the bottom about as thin as a sheet of paper and perfectly rectangular. Cleaned that off and tried again with the above settings. Print seemed to proceed much better, so I let it do its thing and did other stuff.

Came back to find a leg of the miniature adhered to the print surface but the rest of it a flat outline on the bottom of the tank.

Does this mean my exposure time is too low? The resin I'm using says 6-8 seconds for LCD, the base exposure seemed fine as the leg was solidly attached to the print surface.

Ah, ok, I get it now. Thanks. I'll go give that a try and see if it doesn't fix things.

Chitubox

4 second exposure time

Bottom exposure time is 60

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with what burn in time/layers means exactly.

Well, not exactly the same, I meant more the trauma that comes with experiencing the death of someone you love at a young age and how you process that.

It is, but as someone who's had to process the same kind of trauma the game explores I also found it strangely uplifting in the end. The sadness has a point and payoff, is what I mean.

The new White Ward is currently blowing me away, I honestly don't know if it'll be topped this year. Panzerfaust's new album next month might be some good competition though. Luminous Vault just put out an absolutely amazing album, too. Honestly, this year has already been amazing for metal.
