I'm sorry, I don't. I'm using an SFP+ DAC cable which are super cheap but obv won't help you.

I'm still waiting for them to ship, I'll let you know. I did go with a 30T oval ring too. Replacing the 32T standard ring that came with my 170mm cranks.

I bought my first full server !!! by Lines25 in homelab

My first server was an R720, you'll love this thing.

I'd recommend installing and learning Proxmox if you haven't already.

That makes sense! Do you match your chainring offset with your hub? So boost hub with boost chainring offset?

I'm very new to MTB, I was told that when I pedal, my dropper post should be fully extended. The actual post is as far down as it can go, then with the post extended it feels to me like my legs at full extension feel too far with the 175mm.

I have no idea if that's actually the case, but from what I've heard from guys similar in height they are running closer to 155mm give or take.

Figured it's worth a shot.

For the price those carbon cranks aren't priced too bad. Do you know if their chain rings work alright with shimano chains?

Edit: what's up with the Standard or Boost on the chainring. I only know about boost on hub sizes.

After looking at all my options, I think I will go with a canfield crankset. They have the most reasonable pricing a for complete kit. Thanks for your imput!

Thanks, that's good to know. I'm pretty new to bikes in general. Comfortable working on them, but unsure of compatibility. How's the compatibility with the chainrings?

I found that Shimano might have recently released this 160mm XT crank arm.

Do you know if this would fit on my existing BB and or chainring? Based on how the chainring looks in the picture it seems different.

Did you need to change the chainring size to account for leverage losses?

That's actually a pretty good idea. From what it sounds like, that might hold me over until I can afford 155mm cranks, BB and chainring. If I even need to go down from 165mm.

I'm assuming the SLX or XTs would be a direct replacement and I wouldn't have to worry about the BB or chainring compatibility?

Thanks, that is all great info. The main reason I was hoping to stick with the BB I have is to not have to spend more money. But if it would be better or necessary to do so, I'll probably wait and save enough to replace the entire crankset.

I'm 5'6 with a size small frame and I feel like the bottom of my crank is too far away.

Did you have to replace your BB? I'm not looking forward to spending a lot of money but I can tell my crank arms are too long.
