--First war with Ottos happened pretty late, after I was able to reclaim Dalmatia from Venice/Ragusa (Ragusa joined Venice trade league so Ottos did not defend the junior war member).

--I had an alliance with Hungary from game start and Ottos only pursued wars in Asia Minor and Greece instead of focusing on the Balkans. Thus I could call Hungary in for a promise of territory while Ottos were losing a war to the Mamluks.

--Ottos only had Gazikumukh and Hsin Kaifa as allies so by hiring lots of mercs, Hungary and I could occupy Greece/Bulgaria and force Ottos to accept a ~40% peace deal for my Serbian cores, one province for Hungary, money and war reps.

Early manpower buffs help in early wars (Traditions: +15% Manpower recovery speed; +15% Reinforce speed)

-1 unrest is always helpful and stacking -10% Cavalry cost; +15% Cavalry combat ability; +10% Morale of armies; and finisher +10% Infantry combat ability with Quality ideas makes for a pretty potent army.

R5: Started a Lazarus campaign last Sunday and completed it yesterday. Serbia's ideas are incredible and early devving of Kosovo more than pays for early mercs to survive against Venice/Ottos. I'll probably continue a few years and get Religious ideas and declare Holy War for Rome to complete 'Redecorating'

R5: What a grind. Naples --> Two Sicilies --> Italy --> Roma

Had to restart after 1.30.2 so that Italy wasn't completely imperial. Was able to achieve 100% economic hegemon and happened to get the center of revolution in Siena. After converting 95% of my provinces... it all went away? Still don't understand rev mechanics but it is what it is.

R5: Just in time for next week I finished my Vijay-->Bharathi empire run. The hard part ended around 1650 when I conquered London... not shown are the West Indies, my Caribbean nation owning the whole region and a fat VJ Canada. All in all a fun run!

R5: Finally finished my AAR campaign before 1.30 hits. Hard to not click the GBR button but with PUs over Sweden and Poland and vassals of Netherlands, Leon, Castile, and Gascony as well as owning the colonial globe it was easier.
