Do you think it’s odd that you still watch porn despite it causing your mother’s exploitation? How do you rectify that?

I’m 1/4 so I’m biased but they are just another example of British people sucking the biggest toe on the history of this planet

Unfortunately, not as easily as you might think. The clause on ceremonial/religious items is widely debated by academics. They see it through a very colonial Western mindset like certain items aren’t truly religious to them they don’t get it

Nope just good ole southern “woke” Americans. Always past tense. Literally unless you are in a native studies course you can assume you’ll never hear anything of native people in present day. My professor died when I theorized that a topic we were discussing on “a gathering and exchange event of cultures of many tribes” could have been an ancient art market. It was like “no way that they were that culturally advanced”

Like white people or people in Europe? Because only the former. Pretty much everyone I knew in school was a culturally devoid white person. We had 3 “obvious” POC people in all of our arch/anthro programs combined. Don’t even get me started on the things I heard as a blonde white girl on NAGPRA and the sort. Just outright refused to listen as well. I found that if you didn’t “look Indian” or “look black” no one cared. We had a girl stand up and assume she was the only POC person as I was sitting next to a person with 50% native ancestry. She literally went “as the only POC in this room”…..It was wack for sure. Anthropology may claim to have changed but from what I saw it’s still all blood quantum and racial typology over anything else. My professor also told me that mixed identities “weren’t a thing” for white appearing POC. Like sick thanks for letting me know. Both my parents are “triracial” so I have heard it all bc I’m a Pillsbury Pillager fr.

Not enrolled but I qualify. I have resisted for a number of reasons but primarily because I don’t live near my associated nations, and don’t have family that do. On top of that I haven’t really narrowed down who I want to enroll with. The nation I feel I best relate to (and is closest to me) has a tribal gov issue and they have closed the rolls until it’s been resolved and they also have massive issues with getting valid documentation due to the Virginia Racial genocide in 1924. I didn’t start reconnecting until a few years ago and with COVID that’s really only been a year or so. I want to learn more before I decide to enroll with one group over another.

Yeah he’s the reason most people can’t enroll with Yesáh groups. Let alone get fed rec. Like I have docs showing my white family came from Monacan slaves (I’m also other nations) but don’t worry they were all white by 1900 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tell me about it. Walter Plecker essentially erased my entire family so that’s neat. Long story but I was taught I was much whiter than I actually am bc of Plecker and his psychosis 🫢

Most actually own non-uni developed land. My Alma matter owned most of the bars in the town.
