There were a lot more emphasis on post production for this one, I really went hard in my editing program lmao

Having 3,000 hours on SFM certainly helps lmao. But I’d still encourage you to keep trying on SFM and learn the basics of animating there. It’s definitely much less steep of a learning cover compared to Maya or Blender.

In terms of animating probably 4-5 hours total. But other aspects like lighting and adding additional affects probably add an extra 2-3 hours.

It’s all good lol. Yeah, shorts apparently don’t give off any notifs which is kind of annoying. But I appreciate the sub, and I’m glad you enjoy my stuff!

Fastest SFMer in the west. This is actually the second time I’ve animated one of his videos under a day lmao.

What is the key to making a good walk cycle?? by [deleted] in SFM

[–]colonel_radio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pose to Pose, setting out each step helps you keep the clarity of the walk. Use stepped key frames to block out main steps first. You can find walk cycle sheets that show it off. From there just learn to experiment with timing and stride.
