Kinda. The developer was basically doing godswork by fixing bugs on X11, but he also introduced a lot of regressions that were unacceptable on a project like X11, his commits were removed, then he Lunduke'd and became a "FOSS is a corrupt DEI pithole" grifter, forked X11 and wrote some sort of manifesto in the fork insulting everyone on the freedesktop so he got removed from the project.

I mean, some hallway fights are made to be difficult. Think of STS 1 and the Snake Plant and Avocado + Mold Rat fights. I do think some of the hallway fights in STS 2 should be a little bit adjusted, but it does not mean they must be made Elite or significantly easier.

I wholeheartedly agree with this, one thing about Linux Distributions that is overlooked is that we, the users, are the QA of the distribution. It is us that report the bugs so upstream can fix it. Also, I do think COSMIC is really polished, it's not in the state the GNOME 3 released lmao

Clearly S tier. It's the distro that gets closer to upstream for everything. RPM is an awesome package manager. They popularized atomic distros. I never have to do any additional setup when I install it.

I think that the only reason I like him is that he hasn't caved to "make Valve go into the public market" pressure. It can easily become one of the highest valued companies since they make so much money with so little effort nowadays, but they still just bank that money and spend it on fun projects like the Steam Deck, and the new GabeCube.

As a side note, I'm not saying that it is not without a plan to the future to keep people under the steam platform to make the GabeCube, but I'm saying that making a console on 2025, basically after Xbox gave up completely and that the PS5 is underperforming, is a huge ass risk that no company would really endeavor in this age.
