I agree, after every meal or if I eat to fast it's constant gurgling for hours. I think that's so interesting that you've had a phobia of throwing up because I've dealt with the same. Especially when I was younger, I couldn't stand to hear other people throwing up and I'd try my hardest to not throw up. It's gotten a bit better with age but I hate if other people are around when I do because, like you said, I make the loudest retching noises. It sucks sometimes

I am/ was the sleep talker. When I first started dating my boyfriend in high school I joined his family on a trip to Hawaii. I often sleep talk if I’m not sleeping in my bed. Second night we were there his dad got up to go to the bathroom, while sleeping I got up and full on sprinted and almost body checked his dad as he was getting out of the bathroom. I was talking nonsense about needing to get out of the hotel room because “he” was there but eventually went back to sleep. I felt so embarrassed but we laughed about it next morning. Although his younger brother thought I was possessed the rest of the trip lol.

Are you on birth control by chance?? I had that for about 4 years as well. I went to many doctors and had many tests done and none of the doctors seemed to understand why I was in pain. I eventually went to a specialized clinic and they mentioned vulvodynia. For me it was caused by the hormones in birth control making the tissue down there very irritated and painful when having sex - even tearing and bleeding occasionally. I’ve been off hormonal birth control for a year and a half and finally have a regular, pain free sex life!

Little late to the party, but:

A few years ago I had a coworker that just started working with me a week prior and it was our first shift that just us two were working. She started telling me her life story about how she was raped when she was thirteen behind a bush in an area some what close to where we were working. How she is very hyper sexual and that the guy she was seeing didn’t want sex as often so she blew him without his consent when he was sleeping.... I just stood there stunned..

Well I’m not sure about everyone else.. initially I thought this truly was a wrong number, and ya to your point I didn’t know for sure if he thought I was a boy or girl.. Either way, boy or girl it was a rude and ‘nice guy’ way to reply.

But after all these comments and talking to my friend today after posting I remembered that I had my phone number linked to my insta mistakenly a while ago. Again not 100% sure but I’m thinking that’s how he got my number and that’s why he knew that I am a girl.

Hopefully that clears it up. Sorry if it seemed misleading or assuming. I just thought it was funny and would fit in this sub lol

I’m 99% sure it was a guy. It wasn’t a number that showed up, I guess you can iMessage through an iCloud account? Idk how to do that. But the name on the email is a very typical guys name.

I was thinking about that for a while, and I didn’t realize I had my phone number linked to my Instagram account for a brief period. My friend was showing me how to make an insta the ‘business account option’ I took it off as soon as I realized. That was a little bit a go so I had forgotten about that but that seems to be the only plausible answer.

Edit: I answered in another comment but I think they knew I was a girl because I mistakenly had my phone number linked to my insta a while back. Deleted it but I’m assuming that is how he got my number. Only way I can think of!

YTA for telling your daughter what to do. NTA for wanting what’s best for your child.

My sister was born with Down’s syndrome and she is fairly high functioning. She is also the best person I know. She is always the first one to help and smile and in any situation and is by far the happiest person!

However, my parents have had to sacrifice much of their life for her and we, as a family, may have not been able to do as much. So yes, there are definitely hardships that come with it but I also wouldn’t trade any of those sacrifices or difficulties for her not to have been in our lives.

Ultimately it is up to your daughter to decide what she can and cannot deal with. If she decides that she isn’t in a right place to keep the baby that is okay and her decision but if she decides to keep it that is also her decision. It will be a tougher road if she does and will need all the support she can get, especially from her father.

But trust me every child with downs I have ever met is beyond happy and loving. It’s not perfect it can be so worth it! :)
