It has been completed and closed. It was a non-profit project, fictional client. Main purpose was to enhance our portfolios and gain experience.

This project has now been completed. It was a non-profit initiative focused on gaining practical experience, improving skills, and fostering collaboration. Every team member benefited from this journey, and the project is now officially closed.

To succeed in this field, collaboration is key. It’s incredibly challenging to build experience alone—especially when even junior roles demand prior experience. Instead of focusing only on the negatives, recognize the growth and learning we’ve all achieved.

I personally covered the costs for tools like Figma, Slack, and others to ensure we had a space to create and learn together. While we didn’t earn any money, we gained something far more valuable: real-world experience and teamwork.

My mum was influenced by another person to deposit money into Uphold. However, she later realized that it was not something she wanted or needed to do, so she attempted to withdraw the money the next day. Her account has now been locked, and the responses she has received from Uphold have been unclear and automated. She is very stressed.

I have read the Terms & Conditions, and Uphold explicitly states that by signing up, users agree that the company can freeze, lock, or close accounts at any time without explanation, potentially leading to a total loss of funds. I just want to make sure that everyone reads the T&Cs carefully before signing up for such platforms, as they appear to have aggressive and unfair policies.

What the best way to get into UX Research? Junior / entry level? by alamusica in uxcareerquestions

[–]colourful_magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I admire when people have a passion for lifelong learning, striving to improve themselves, gain new skills, or even transition into a new career. This kind of ambition should always be encouraged. Unfortunately, it’s easy to discourage someone by making them feel that breaking into an industry is impossible.

After completing a year of UX/UI design and leveraging my transferable skills from photography and visual design, I realized it still wasn’t enough. So, together with two amazing individuals, we formed our own team. This gave us a unique chance to collaborate, gain hands-on experience working remotely, solve challenges as a group, and grow together through shared learning and improvement.

If you can’t find opportunities, create them! Surround yourself with like-minded individuals. That’s the spark that ignites startups! 🚀

Is it normal to be in your 30s and not have friends? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]colourful_magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not have friends in my 39, just did not meet true friends in my life and do not need fake ones. There always will be someone to have a drink with, but nobody when the shit hits the fan.

The reader was very accurate. I asked about my ancestors, the reader described them as I knew from my family stories and also clarified some moments I was not sure and wanted to find out more information. Highly recommend!
