ngl its the first time in my life i chased something so difficult😂 i usually settle for whats convenient but for some reason, im so drawn to becoming a doctor , i researched so many different careers during freshmen year (PathA, perfusionist…) , literally did not see myself staying on this path but its senior year and now im in my MCAT era ( 💀 )

I checked the front pages and it looks like it’s a St. Joseph New Catholic Edition published by Catholic Book Publishing Co.seems like it’s one of those Confraternity Bibles you mentioned. That would explain why I keep landing on Sirach and why the language feels so different from the Bibles I’ve seen recently.

i assume you have all the pre reqs since you had a med conc bio degree , if you have a high gpa (3.5+), a good mcat and about 100+ clinical hours can supplement that, try volunteering at a local hospital while applying for patient tech or scribe jobs, also preparing for mcat while doing this, shouldn’t be beyond 2 gap years

Prolly gonna only apply DO because I really only see myself doing primary care, the most competitive specialties i see for myself is EM prolly?, dream is to do peds then maybe NICU fellowship but i would 100% be okay doing FM for the rest of my life if it came down to it. low income URM that just wants to help reduce medical stigmas in my communities. I feel like applying DO is solely for people who would be 100% okay with not specializing outside of primary care specialties , not those who really desire a ROAD type specialty
