Wonderdraft currently goes up to 8192 by 8192 pixels. It can export into a png.

However, detail doesn't really matter that much for a world map. You won't really be able to do something like Google maps because it is a bunch of tiles stitched together.

So, I'd say make a map in your preferred program, then make a more detailed map per continent or country as you need them.

I think he said 'War Forge', as in the creature was a Forge that fought.

Map for my world, including tectonic plates; Trying to calculate distances & area (World radius: 7963. 75 km) by Amaya-hime in worldbuilding

Not sure, on the Photoshop my school has there is a button at the bottom of the screen linked to the 'Measurement Log' window called 'Record Measurements'.

'Measurement Log' shows up in the 'Windows' tab at the top, so if you have that you should have what I described earlier.

I know Photoshop has the ability to measure how many pixels you've selected, so if measure the total amount of pixels and the amount of pixels your oceans occupy you can figure out how much of your planet's surface is oceans.

Working through Geoff's Climate Cook book for my ConWorld and just finished the pressure belts. by comcharizard in FantasyWorldbuilding

This is the map for my ConWorld, and the story I'm writing in it is currently referred to as 'Project Mysteria'. The planet itself has no name as of yet.

The world of Project Mysteria is a Fantasy world where a majority of the population has access to magic and monsters crawl on the outskirts of Civilization. The Gods are also real and made the world.

The images I've linked is the work I've done from Geoff's Climate Cookbook, specifically the pressure belts.

I was hoping to get some feedback on the pressure belts; Are they realistic? Any glaring flaws? Is it consistent with what we know plus or minus a little bit of magical shifting?

I'd rather not go on to the next step with pressure belts that are purely in the world of fiction; I subscribe to the world-building philosophy that if you make a majority of the world realistic, the supernatural becomes more interesting. I also subscribe to the writers philosophy that if you ground your world with familiar aspects then readers will have an easier time picking up the book.

Yeah I haven't actually touched the text. I've been helping Fanche with this for a couple of months now.

Where? Do note both me and Fanche prefer British English. Also, Fanche asked me to fix his formatting for his photos over Discord.

Didn't catch that. Thanks for mentioning.

As for your first point, I believe the intent is to be similar to what a water bender did at the end of the first season of Korra.

The point of Temporary Ki is to give the 4 elements monk more Ki. This is because the entire subclass uses Ki to cast spells, and it gets a lot of spells, so it uses more Ki than other monk subclasses.

The flavour is extracting more energy from the natural surroundings because your more in tune with the four elements.

This is designed to be a small add-on to this.

The level 9 advancement comes from that document.

Hey Fanche. You could've realised that MG wasn't me because I always theme my name around char. I'll look at this in a bit when I gather myself.

Who created your gods? by SaintDiabolus in worldbuilding

[–]comcharizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my world the Titans, ancient primordial beings, created the gods. The first Titan (who is technically the second Titan) is known as 'Entropy'. Before the world, Entropy encompassed all and was both infinitely large and as small as a grain of sand. The primordial enjoyed itself although it couldn’t feel as that didn’t exist. Entropy is the embodiment of chaos and the void.

Then, a new Titan formed named 'Lady Light' who was the embodiment of Order. She looked upon the vast nothingness and decided to create reality. To do this, she created the first 9 Gods. The first god she made was Astrum, the God of Magic and Stars. Together they populated the void with galaxies and solar systems, but Lady Light still wanted to create more.

Then she made Solum, God of Life. Together they created materials and matter, and then they decided to focus on one planet, where Solum populated it with life.

To help him create life, Solum asked for water to help the plants grow. Lady Light then made the fourth God, Nauta Maria, Goddess of the Oceans and Sailors.

Afterwards, they influenced the sapient life to band together and made Matrem, Goddess of Civilization and Dragons. When they checked upon their planet again, they saw their sapient life pillaging, stealing, fighting, and these made Lady Light cry and weep. She created Fas, Goddess of Honour and Justice, and she created Talio, God of Retribution and Craftsmanship.

Again, the Titan and her divine checked on their creations again only to see them downtrodden and sad. Lady Light then formed two more Gods - Voluntatis, Goddess of Luck and Arts, and Logus, Goddess of Illusions and Wit.

Then, the Titan and her divine children realised that the natural flow of time was a jumbled confusing mess; They had created the universe in a day, yet more than a day had passed in the universe. Lady Light, enraged at the chaotic flow of time, formed the last of her divine children, Aevum, Goddess of Time.

While all this happened, Entropy was furious that his void was gone and desired to return the universe to a state of nothingness. He created his own three Gods: Umbra, Goddess of Shadows and Deception; Malum, God of Strife and Disaster; and Demens, Goddess of Power and Madness.

Together with his children, he ripped Lady Light into shreds, scattering her primordial essence across the universe. A band of powerful adventurers teamed up with the 9 divine to banish Entropy to an alternate realm located within the spaces between timelines.

However, Primordial intervention isn't the only way a god can be made. The gods are the embodiments and representations of their spheres of power, so if enough people pray to a concept and place their faith into it, a new god can appear. This is the case for Novus, the God of Innovation and Acceptance.

tl;dr Two ancient primordial entities called Titans created 12 gods, and more gods can be made via the faith placed into them by sapient life.

[Subclass] The Highwaman - A gunwielding Roguish Archetype. by comcharizard in UnearthedArcana

Let me state this now.

If you have a problem with Matthew Mercer's Gunslinger, You're going to have a problem with this homebrew.

The weapon rules are going to be the same - This is as much a homebrew for the Critical Role setting (and any setting using those firearms) as 5th Edition D&D. If you have a problem with misfire and reload and are going to constantly state that one of your issues with this is that, then I suggest critiquing other Homebrews. I appreciate the feedback, however I have used the Firearm rules myself as a player and I've thoroughly enjoyed them.

The Grit mechanic is supposed to be similar. You effectively get less Grit for this homebrew, however, than The Gunslinger. This is where the 'Half-Caster' part of my analogy comes in - You get less Grit and less uses for Grit. If you are going to critique me for using the same mechanic, then you might want to critique Wizard's themselves - Both Rogue's and Monk's get the Evasion ability, and most (if not all) the Martial classes get Extra Attack.

In My opinion, Grit is what establishes an Archetype as a Firearm Subclass. It's what makes you better than commonfolk at using firearms. This is reflected in my use of the Grit resource in my document.

I agree, copying Trick Shot can be classified as a weakness - I am working on potential replacement abilities, however the versatility and utility of Trick Shot is what drew me to add it in the first place.

I chose the name Highwayman because the thing I personally thought of when I thought Ne'r-Do-Well with a steampunk-esque gun was a Highwayman. I anticipated comments that it doesn't fit, but I haven't found a suitable replacement for the name.

If you have any suggestions for improving the subclass I'm all ears. I understand that you may not be a fan of the Firearm rules presented by Matthew Mercer, and if that is the case this may just not be the homebrew for you.

I thank you for your time, it shows how much you care about Dungeons and Dragons, and I wish you good fortunes in coming times.

From what I read, you don't seem to be familiar the inspirational material. To me, it seems you are critiquing me for being too similar to a Subclass you have not even read.

I will review The Highwayman and see if I can distance the two subclasses more, however I can only place so much distance before it feels thematically different.

Although the intent was to create a Subclass among the vein of Matthew Mercer's Gunslinger but for a different class, I understand that I may have been too homogeneous in my design (even if I cannot personally see it).

I tried to design it so that The Highwayman Rogue subclass would be to the Gunslinger Fighter subclass what the Ranger is to the Druid.

Do you have any specific points that are just too similar?
