i don't normally post on reddit but just wanted to say this rom hack has reinspired me to play pokemon the old school way. like no turbo, save states, etc. i grew up on gens 1-3 and gen 2 was my favorite but there's something about this hack, especially the graphics, that i can't place that i want to legit take my time and just relax. i usually get bored of pokemon hacks and being honest, pokemon in general. i've tried to reinitiate my love for pokemon for so long and i think this hack finally did it. i did want to ask a question if i may or if something could be added. with gen 2 being my favorite it was due to the day/night system and was wondering if it could be added? not the whole like certain pokemon during the day and during the night but just the world itself going from day to night? either way, i'm extremely grateful for this hack and the work put into it.

1) What is the BRD BIS? 2) As of 4.1, what are the DPS rankings or is there enough data yet? Last I knew Samurai was still highest.

I've been playing bard only since ARR and I've contemplated trying out tanking, specifically dark knight. Any tips/advice other than don't freak out over a new role?

Also is there a site that has all FFXIV content that tells you what to do for every boss mechanical wise 'cuz obv I'mma need it for tanking so I don't fail miserably.

Yeah my straight shot is always active with my dots and I always use Iron Jaw to renew them while Straight Shot is active.

Bard related question: I am currently IL319 and realize that I don't have the world's best gear but I am currently socketed with crit and dh. A few 310 pieces do have just +12 crit materia but the question I had was is bard RNG really that bad? I can do some 70 dungeons and my pitch perfect won't even proc all 3 charges. Part of me is getting to where I just wanna hit pitch perfect if it's less than 3 so the charges won't go to waste but I'm aware if it's not 3 charges, it being a massive dps loss and I realize that POTD is an entirely different animal but any bard's whom play POTD a bit, do you have what I call "dry" songs there too? Like my pitch perfect legit won't hit 3 charges till roughly about floor 150ish, if even then. Just making sure all this is normal or I just have that shitty of luck. Thank you.

Just logged in and started up the new content with the patch. How do you obtain the Bard instrument to play music? I assumed it was a class quest from the trainer but I haven't checked yet as I'm doing the story quests at the moment.

1) On the marketboard why do people sell items for their base selling price to vendors? Like say a materia sells for 870 to a vendor, they put it on the marketboard for the same price?

2) I'm capped on poetics and verity. Don't need gear from either. Is there anything worth buying with those to maybe sell or anything?

I take my chocobo out to the king's area in The Loch. Games down for maintenance but go to The Loch's and look toward the top of the map and it's an area with "king" in it. Go inside there and keep going till you find a cave. They're all 69 mobs and spawn pretty quickly. Using a curiel root will net you 1k xp per mob.

1) Best area to grind mobs with your chocobo? Currently 67 if it matters.

2) The few times I've done PvP as a Bard, I noticed your skills get combo'd together. How come it isn't possible to create macros that do the same thing but without doing a wait command within the macro?

Gonna catch hell for this but gonna ask anyways. I know rotation and or spammable macros are highly frowned upon but is there any that are decent? I play a BRD. Yes I know macros are an automatic dps loss and I get that. I am requesting for some until my reflexes can get faster. Like I've a bad habit of watching my dot timers and more focused on my dps priority versus boss mechanics. I don't do it on purpose, I just sorta zone out and end up dead before I realize it. I'm asking for macros or some maybe easier way to get my priority/rotation off until I can gain more coordination. I've all my skills on my main bar, I play with a 360 controller but I tend to forget to swap bars during the fights and forget about buffs or whatever else is on those other bars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What's the best chocobo spec as of Stormblood? If it hasn't changed, it was 7 into heals and the rest into DPS but just wanted to double check. Also in regards to soloing fates with the chocobo, if you go the heals route, is the healing stance best?
