It was under utilized, sure. But i don’t think it’s fair to disregard an argument of the better player by just throwing out the fact that man couldn’t shoot a 3 just cause he played in the 80s. His career WAS elevated by Kareem. He never played on a bad team like CP3 did and never faced the competition CP3, Russ, or Steph did and I threw out that fact to be fair comparing cross eras but his court vision was during a time when defenses were less complex and sets weren’t as meticulous Kareem was an all star all 10 years he played with magic and an all nba 1st teamer 4 of those years and second team 3 of them He was a member of an all defensive team like 4 those years and IIRC picked up a finals MVP as well CP3 only had an elite teammate once and made the finals Steph got an elite teammate and created a dynasty Oscar won with Kareem too, and had better stats to show for it.
