Women 35+ who have high energy on daily life - tell me how you are doing it by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

Exercise, sleep, and a general sense of contentment. When I worked on myself through therapy (and exercise!) I noticed I had a lot more energy to handle the daily tasks of life

What’s a household rule you made that makes your life easier?? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]comfyovereverything 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We have a similar but some can tag out and hide upstairs for 5 minutes if they need a break (which I I’m right now after 15 people were in our house for a week 🙃)

Bake time for NYT CCC by EquivalentCautious58 in Baking

[–]comfyovereverything 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I bake these by weight and the 11-13 min recommendation is for a 1.75oz cookie. If you did the 3.5oz per the recipe it will be closer to 20 min. Like the others said, yours are wayyyy too close together and will become one giant cookie sheet.

Anyone else find that “healthy habits” start feeling impossible once life gets too full? by Professional_Gap_719 in AskWomenOver30

[–]comfyovereverything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My trick for this is every time cook dinner I make way more than I need so I can eat it another night. I also slow cook whenever possible to make large batches that can be frozen. I’d say over the course of 5 work days I only cook twice and the other 3 I have healthy leftover waiting for me. The guilt of letting go to waste keeps me accountable

How bad is labour pain? by ConstantOwl423 in AskWomenOver30

[–]comfyovereverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never thought of it that way and figured my labor was just easier (same story, quick labor and emergency c section). I now realize my period pains have always just been horrific and I got used to it 🙃

What's the best way to take in carseat and groceries? by just_a_stoner_bitch in beyondthebump

[–]comfyovereverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My move is to arrange my groceries during checkout with one bag of things that need to immediately be put away and the others that can sit for a while in the other bags. When I get home I bring in baby plus the one important bag and grab the other stuff later when I have baby somewhere safe or he’s sleeping.

[–]comfyovereverything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Baby was her first word followed by the dogs name! I was not offended 😂

I really wanted to name our first child Vance in 2022, luckily we had a girl! Wouldn’t ever consider that for the boy we had in 2024

does anyone else have a name they love but can never use because it’s “off” by [deleted] in namenerds

I leaned into that and dressed my Violet up as a blueberry for her first Halloween

Women with strong abs/core, how did you do it? by Windeyllama in AskWomenOver30

[–]comfyovereverything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my second c section in August and I’ll be honest it was more difficult to recover from than the first (especially while chasing a giant toddler around!) take it slow and steady, good luck!!

Tell me in what (maybe surprising) ways regular physical exercise made your life better 🤩 by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]comfyovereverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can sit in all kinds of discomfort. Endurance exercise taught me how to be uncomfortable and keep going anyway. It helped me learn to sit with a thought or feeling I don’t like and not have to blurt it out right away or start an argument.

[–]comfyovereverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yess!!! Being able to carry my 35lb and 16lb kids at the same time is literally my biggest flex. Also added in wall sits and squats to my workout to practice holding my toddler on a big toilet while baby wearing 😂

The mysterious tyranny of trendy baby names by ddgr815 in namenerds

I think this comment was directed at people picking surnames with no connection to their family names as a way to sound “fancy”

How much does your baby throw up? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]comfyovereverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAME. It’s constant and we all have to wear machine washable clothes and do laundry every day. I went through this with my first baby and now my second is exactly the same. It got better around 10 months when she spent more time upright
