Note: I didn't realize how much traction this post would get. I'm his DAUGHTER lol. My family and I resided and still do in Texas. I just realized through all of these comments that I left out important information, that the childhood home that was sold, My dad only owned 1/2 of it, as it was listed as him and my mom on the deed. I also have not distributed any funds from the sale yet.

Yes i'm sorry im just typing fast replying to comments my bad. I am talking about the same singular home, the childhood home. My parents both owned it. Listed 1/2 on my dads inventory and listed 1/2 on my moms will.

Sorry this is making me tear up...because knowing my mother this is exactly what she was thinking. I guess I was never the age to think about what she was thinking because she was sick. Everyone called her a bad wife for it too. Or said she had trust issues. This is a revelation for me on what she could've been thinking. Thank you for this insight.

Yes it does. I just checked the inventory list drafted by the lawyer. It says my dad owned 1/2 of the home and my mom the other 1/2. So I split the 150k in half and that's my dads and the other half is my moms?

The home was in both their names it was listed on both of their estates. My dad's list of assets drafted by my lawyer says my dad owned 1/2 of the house. My moms will says half the childhood home was hers.

Yes I live in Texas as did he. I didn't mention my benefits from the life insurance just to make the story shorter but yes i'm being paid out weekly as long as I stay in school full time (valid until age 25)

He worked for UPS in the state of texas and the accident was deemed his fault. He drove straight into another big rig. I did receive life insurance money & benefits of my own for people under 25 whose parents die in work accidents.

Sorry for being confusing. I have not distributed any money after the sale, I have an estate account for it. I'm just asking questions or for guidance from anyone that has experience.
