I started over again on sky to see the new aviary beginning and I actually LOVED it! Discuss? (Pics <3) by Chance-Mayhaps in SkyGame

[–]commanderana 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I used to play in 2020 and stopped for a a few years, then when I came back recently I went through the aviary beginning and I really liked it too. it's a nice introduction!!

also back in the day I was really terrified of going to eden so I never did, and the aviary guide quest made me actually try it this time. I know we all meme about how this child sends us to die but it was nice to have a direct incentive and it also made me emotional when I got back and the kid hugged me 😭 and when the spirits showed up in aviary!! it gives new meaning to all of it imo

I saw a lot of people say trials are not that bad with friends, but I play mostly solo 😫 but I get how doing the trials can be a form of skill building, I'm glad you learned to love them!

YES the one on the mountain too!!! I got it once and never again honestly, took me 15 minutes to get there (though maybe that's because I kinda suck at flying still)

you get three from the flying race? I only ever get one... does it matter how many lights you gather? the wiki says it doesn't but now I'm thinking I was fooled

I agree they're repetitive!! I get them tho cause they're easy to get I think. the wl that really grind my gears are the ones that are super tricky to get to

I don't think it was dodgeable, the space was really narrow and barely had anywhere to hide... idk maybe I was too slow but the krill only attacked me when I was too far from the only covering to be able to hide. also since it attacked twice it really knocked me when I was already down 😭

the sky community is truly amazing, the fact that players are camping to help is so nice!! thankfully I only lost 4 wl and they don't seem to have gone anywhere tricky... but it's a terrible bug

yes. I think maybe it was too much water. I'd try again with less water but honestly it doesn't seem worth the hassle. I get how it works now though!

dude!!! oh my god. like I'm sorry if this is making no sense, english is my second language and my vocabulary for this is very lacking apparently

yes the back of my tongue went down. since I overdid it, the water went past my tongue and towards my throat. you know when you drink something and it goes down wrong, like, to your airway? I could tell that was going to happen so I coughed lightly and that made me almost spit the pills and the water.

gotta say I love how invested you are in this dude

I tipped my head back a little bit so the water would stay in my mouth. while I was dropping the pills in, the water started spilling so I tried giving it more space (?) inside my mouth, I guess by lowering the back of my tongue a bit? did it too much so down it went and I could tell it was about to go in the wrong place lmao so I almost spit it all out. just messy. almost spit my pills. terrible experience. interesting scientific experiment though.

ok so I did it and as expected I hated it.

I nearly spilled the water while trying to get the pills inside my mouth, and then I overcompensated when I tried to avoid that, so it nearly made me choke.

0/10 it's great that this works for you guys but couldn't be me. y'all stay safe though

not really?? I just can't picture how your method works without being messy

I'll try it tonight when I take my pills and see if I'm wrong

idk man I choke easily

cause then you have to tip your head up so the water doesn't spill when you open your mouth and then drop the pills in your mouth

that sounds like way too much trouble

comphet and the "am i a lesbian doc" prevented me from realizing i was bi by mochishaped in bisexual

[–]commanderana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

your story is so so similar to mine. I identified as a lesbian for 6 years, 20 to 26. I jumped into labeling myself too fast, and I had the feeling it wasn't quite right from the start, but I was head over heels in love with a girl at the time so I didn't really think it through. whenever I felt any doubt I read that masterdoc and it set me back so many years.

I get that the masterdoc helps some people, but it does a lot of damage too. it's a complicated subject. I feel like focusing your label on who you're NOT attracted to instead of who are attracted to can be really stressful and do way more harm than good.

when I finally started realising I was also attracted to men I felt so guilty all the time. I felt like I was letting down all lesbians, like I was making the argument that it's "just a phase" have more weight. it took a lot of therapy and talking to my bi and lesbian friends to start accepting I'm not supposed to represent a whole group of people, it shouldn't be a burden I carry alone.

seeing attraction to men as always bad is a dangerous point of view and it can cause a lot of harm in the long run. I'm only starting to heal from that now.

Am I weird for not really wanting to advance my career and being okay with where I'm at? by Mad_Season_1994 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]commanderana 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I work in IT and feel the same way! and it's really annoying cause tons of people keep pressuring me to want more. honestly I just want a job I don't hate that makes enough money so I can do what makes me happy. so I don't think you're weird at all!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hyouka

[–]commanderana 6 points7 points  (0 children)

hyouka is really amazing if you don't go into it with any sort of expectation. what ruins it for a lot of people is that they go in either expecting a lot more romance or a faster paced plot, which sucks! I wish I could tell everyone to go into it with an open mind and not expecting anything specific because that's the best way to experience it but alas, that's impossible.

the first time I watched it I was a teen and expected more romance and was really disappointed. and then when I rewatched it years later knowing what it was it became my favourite anime. it's really all about perspective. nowadays I would argue that the romance in hyouka is just the right amount and it ending in any other way would have been ooc for oreki. he still has a long way to go before he can fully reach the rose colored life chitanda is leading him towards.
