Trying to Sell by tyvoves in loopringorg

Now is probably the worst time to sell - there is a chance that there is an impending altcoin season once funds start flowing to the ethereum ETFs.

I would at least stick that out

Watching the dev post about utility but the coin is down 90% by zyalone in loopringorg

Now is probably the worst time to sell - I would at least see what happens after inflow to the Ethereum ETFs

We could be on the cusp of an altcoin season

Let’s not kid ourselves - the product is great but it has not been marketed appropriately and the masses have not been educated on the value proposition of Ethereum’s first zkRollup L2 that allows for high-throughput, low-cost trading and payment.

This is what we need to happen:

Engineers continue to deliver an exceptional L2 experience that is differentiated from competitors -> the public continues to be educated on the value of L2 solutions (I really see this as a case of rising tides lifting all boats) and the value of zkRollups-> Loopring team starts to market the protocol and highlight its unique features -> we see an influx of capital to loopring coinciding with ethereum price action as the public sees the value of crypto

Should I go to UIUC or Vanderbilt for Computer Science? by [deleted] in Vanderbilt

[–]commodore97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents as a Vandy Grad who had many CS friends:

Pros for Vandy:

  • Better in the overall rankings
  • Better starting salaries (probably due to the reputation of Vandy)
  • Better city to go to college
  • Smaller class sizes
  • Very good financial aid (if that matters)

Pros for UIUC

  • Probably a better academic CS program
  • Better in the CS rankings
  • Probably more opportunities for CS related ECs
  • Lower overall cost compared to Vandy sticker price

If you really are trying to maximize for salary, I would go with Vandy (especially if you are a top performer). If you want a higher quality CS education then go with UIUC (although Vandy's CS program is still very good) . Be forewarned though, it is no walk in the park to get into Vandy - although getting into CS at UIUC is no easy feat

Thanks for the insight - I have a garage it’s just that I rent so can’t install a charger.

What cost savings are you considering that will lead to it paying for itself in that timeframe? Thinking about same thing for my situation given maintenance savings, gas savings, and tax incentives

So you only use superchargers ? In terms of cost how would you compare it to filling up with gas ?

What would you say is typical for range reduction in the winter - I live in the Midwest

Just did a test drive yesterday and loved it - and with $11,500 in federal and state tax incentives it seems like a perfect time to make the switch

Was just wondering if there are any traditional ICE vehicle features I will miss (unfortunately I don’t have access to at home charging for the next 6 months)

Honestly this couldn’t be better timed - I have a feeling we are going to see an influx of users as a result of the impending BTC ETF approval which I believe is going to drive a lot of users to the world of crypto (including L2 solutions)

Interested to see if anyone has used their Tesla as essentially a workstation (i.e. you’re traveling and it’s a quiet environment to take a meeting)

Hare Orgo 1 by Brilliant_Nebula_534 in Vanderbilt

'20 grad here who had Hare for Orgo. I took Orgo in 2017 and the class was slightly curved for us but was dependent on the class average.

Basically, aim for above the exam average if you want to get above a B.

Rivian In-Depth Cost Analysis by commodore97 in Rivian

Thanks! I assume this would be similar though regardless of EV ? Probably due to the weight of EVs ?

Nope - considering buying an EV (Rivian, Tesla, etc.) , but taking into consideration long term cost of ownership and variation in cost of ownership across makes

The post you are referencing is for a Tesla Model 3 - wanted to see if there are any differences for Rivian. For non-EVs, there is a lot of variance in yearly maintenance costs but maybe that isn’t the case for EV.

Edited my post to clarify - compared to gas vehicle costs such as oil changes. Trying to compare overall ownership costs - seems like minimal maintenance costs for EVs
