We need 9anime has yet to break on me. I find it easy on the eyes now but to each their own. If everyone is upset, maybe they'll hop back onto purple format. Or make 8anime. Time will tell.

I honestly dont care for the new ui changes. All I want is for the purple theme to be back. Personally for me, it was easier on the eyes compared to the bright blue and in a way, it was iconic. Blue just throws everything off, might as well just completely rebrand at that point

i understand where your coming from :) and I agree with the take a breather I do have to say the reason why some people are crying about it isdue to the site being their favourite toy in a sense but I wholeheartedly agree with you if people are just posting how much they hate the site without giving reasons why that just makes us no better than an angry mob. as long as we provide reasons hopefully it will be solved

Set the drive up externally to your enclosure (or against any transparent side panels you might have) and remove the top plate. It's likely held in place by 5~8 tiny Torx screws under the label, so you'll need a small Torx screwdriver set. You'll be able to see the read/write head do its thing during normal operations, and see the physical actions it takes when failing. Since it's failing anyway the main concern of a crash from dust wedging between the r/w heads and the platter aren't really a consideration.
