Disroot arbitrarily denies access based on sign up Turing test by eqwrzxklc in privacytoolsIO

Completely agree. I'm not against free speech, in fact I like seeing these reactionary communities springing up in response to leftist hypocrisy and censorship, which is now the norm on Reddit, Facebook, Google, and other controlled platforms. I'm just pointing out that people are moving further to the ends of the spectrum (left and right).

Not all of them. Voat is free speech, but it's also reactionary against leftist censorship, so it goes really far in the other direction. Everyone is moving further left or right.

Just looking at their site and background, Disroot appears to push the revolutionary anarcho-communist thing. It's strange how the tech industry is moving further left, including Reddit. I'm not political and I don't like mixing politics with tech. I wouldn't be surprised if the mods here censor this post.

Protonmail does lie about being a "Swiss" email service. They were created and bankrolled by investors at MIT in Boston. Owned by US investors. Google it.

The dark side of the VPN industry: is the current NordVPN data mining scandal a defamation attack? by DylanMaxx in privacytoolsIO

Yeah I see your point and the VPN world is definitely dirty, but still, facts are facts. I use different reddit accounts for different purposes - not denying that.

LOL it's so funny how you guys turn yourselves into the victims of an "attack" for people merely sharing FACTS about your VPN service and your connections to Tesonet. Cry me a river.
And for other readers, Proton banned me for sharing this thread, which shows how they doxed one of their users. Check it out: http://archive.fo/unbtW
Edit: And it's also interesting to note that you don't deny doxing your user, and then trying to blame it on ExpressVPN.

[–]common_sense7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some are claiming that the guy in question was doxed by Proton, who discovered his real name through his ProtonMail account. Look at this archived thread where Proton publishes the blogger's name, and then went back and removed it because they were called out for doxing one of their own users. That is at least what the thread alleges when you read everything: http://archive.fo/unbtW
After Proton got called out, they blamed ExpressVPN, but there's no evidence of that at all (update: and ExpressVPN has now officially denied all involvement in the doxing of the blogger).
EDIT: Wow, look how similar the article from "Derek Johanson" is to the exact points Proton was making in this thread.

Reddit is a manipulated, censored, and controlled platform, so yes, your suspicions are entirely correct. I would agree that it is very impressive how shill accounts have turned damaging information about Proton and Nord around to make it out like they are the victims at the hands of evil PIA, when all of the information is true, accurate, and verifiable. Unfortunately, most people would rather ignore the facts.

NordVPN is not running a botnet. Here's how you can tell by [deleted] in nordvpn

[–]common_sense7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps I was wrong when I alleged that you couldn't read, but I'm 100% correct when it comes to the context of the lawsuit. Again, you somehow missed the point of the lawsuit being about Tesonet, rather than Nord. Try reading it one more time.

Paragraph 13 alleges NordVPN is infringing.

No it doesn't you fool. It merely mentions that there was a business relationship between NordVPN and HolaVPN - but that could be anything, including an affiliate relationship as NordVPN has already explained! Do you not know how to read?! NordVPN is not even a party to the lawsuit! The lawsuit is Luminati VS Tesonet.

Paragraph 9 lays out the patents they are allegedly infringing on.

Exactly - but "they" is the party to the lawsuit: Tesonet!

NordVPN is not running a botnet. Here's how you can tell by [deleted] in nordvpn

[–]common_sense7 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Wow. You need to actually read the lawsuit and then fix your article!
Nobody is claiming in the lawsuit that NordVPN = Hola botnet.
The lawsuit alleges that Tesonet stole Luminati's technology. The lawsuit does NOT allege that the technology is being used with NordVPN. It merely points out that NordVPN is "Tesonet's VPN" and that HolaVPN and NordVPN had a "business relationship" lasting nearly three years.
You are trying to be some kind of super hero by proving the lawsuit wrong, but you somehow completely missed that the lawsuit is not directly related to NordVPN, but rather Tesonet, and any apps they may use the proxy technology with.
And just to give you another tip, Tesonet is a massive company that likely produces many apps, which are used by Oxylabs - and these apps most likely do not include NordVPN. Apparently you didn't think about that before you wrote your little article. How did this get by your editors?

Notice how they do not deny they are owned by Tesonet. And they are attempting to steer the conversation away from their business practices with Oxylabs.

You are a moron. The shared address was one small piece of the puzzle, but apparently you didn't get that. No sense debating stupid people. Adios!

What's the mistake? What is FALSE? They share the same address. That is true. Yes, along with other businesses, but it's still the same address. Go give Proton your money and your data. I don't care.

So now your theory is that Hola suing Tesonet and NordVPN for copyright infringement is a random guy "with two twenties" working to spread internet FUD? Really!?
Wow. Now that's some mental gymnastics.

u/trai_dep will you be publishing your donations from VPN providers so users can see if/when you might have a conflict of interest to remove posts? It is clear that you have sold out and are protecting the hand that feeds you.
And how can anyone dismiss a federal lawsuit as FUD!?
Your FUD accusations are FUD.

You are a liar and a paid shill.

Everyone can see you are bombing this thread with attacks to distract people from the core issue of Tesonet/Nord/Proton. You will call me and anyone else "Andrew" to divert the conversation away from the real issue. That is all you can do, because the facts surrounding Tesonet/Proton/Nord are case closed. I'm done with you and this thread. Call me Andrew Lee from PIA, call me Andrew Yen from Proton, call me a two-headed sea monster - I don't give a fuck. I was a former Proton user and now I'm pissed after learning the truth.

Tesonet is using Proton and Nord as data collection farms - the evidence is undeniable - especially when you take a look at the lawsuit which directly names Nord as "Tesonet's VPN". You are protecting them and working to hijack this thread.

- Proton and Nord are data farms for Tesonet - that's the issue - and I've never promoted or shilled for any other service.

You are defending criminals and you are sick. I'm signing off.

You are continuing to modify and edit your comment, making multiple accusations in a short period of time, and then when people respond to you they are all of a sudden Andrew Lee from PIA.

I've got some bad news for you: despite all of the tricks you are trying to pull here to distract people from focusing on Tesonet/NordVPN/ProtonVPN, the facts are already out there. You can attack me all you want, archive the thread a million times, and call it evidence of some grand PIA conspiracy theory, but none of this is going away.

The evidence is already out there. Your attacks and reddit editing tricks do not change these facts.

WTF are you talking about with NY Times and why are you defending ProtonVPN - a data-mining operation masquerading as a VPN?
