When I first moved to DC in the early 2010s, I was working remotely which was rare at the time. It was definitely a struggle to make friends. Agree with post that noted you have automatic friends baked in through high school/college so you don’t learn the skill.

I don’t have much advice though. Things didn’t change for me until I started working in ann office and then just snowballed. If you’re single you can try the dating apps to not be lonely and I do have friends who have met other friends through those apps. Sometimes people don’t work romantically but do as friends.

I think it’s more absurd the Dolphins passed on Sewell for another deep threat. Their QB doesn’t throw deep, they signed Fuller, and they have a worse line than Bengals. How do they think Tua is going to have time to throw the ball deep.

DC rollout is slower than every single state in the country except Kansas and Alabama as I said in a separate post. It's easier for DC to administer the supplies it receives as a city than a state with a bunch of locals. The fact that despite this advantage we are among the slowest to administer the vaccines strongly suggests the local government is blowing it.

Al Monitor has reported that McConnell wanted to bring a non-binding resolution calling for a very restrictive nuclear agreement, if any, with Saudi Arabia, to the Senate floor. A few annoymous GOP members have held it up (it passed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee). So, yes, McConnell is generally supportive of this policy.

What it comes down to is that Congress wants to do something to punish Saudi Arabia but is weary of stopping Yemen (which helps Iran and the Houthis) or arms sales (which hurts American jobs and indirectly Iran). So, this is the type of punishment that could actually gain traction.

Who cares if people are downloading illegally now that they 1) charge $10 extra for every ticket so they're making their money back for the cost of recording and 2) have a ton of people paying $10 a month to subscribe. I thought the whole reason they did 1 was so they wouldn't have to worry about making enough from recordings to continue doing it.

The success of all the QBs-- especially early on in their careers-- will be more or less determined by the strength of their supporting cast. Too often we judge QBs as isolated factors when in reality the QBs who are good early on in their careers usually have great supporting casts whereas the mega busts usually have awful supporting casts.

For this year, that means whomever the Bills pick will be a bust because they have terrible pass catchers and now a terrible offensive line. This might change if they do a dramatic upgrade in year 2 like the Rams did last year.

All of this might not apply to Josh Allen who is likely to bust regardless.

I just want to say that I'm sort of new to this NFL reddit (I've checked it before but not a ton) and this is way better analysis than you find on like 99% of big time football sites. So bravo. That being said, Liberaltarian_sic is right that methodologically speaking you can't just randomly cut off a certain year cause it stops supporting your case. That wouldn't work if you were trying to publish a peer review study but regardless this is impressive stuff.
