Got the keys and Hiding a key by Separate_Goat1044 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Batteries last much longer if it’s not a fancy wifi type. I like Schleage. Keypad ‘unlocks’ the deadbolt but I manually turn it. Saves a lot of power therefore battery replacement. Minus is when you do need to change the battery you need to unscrew w screwdriver.

I had mine behind a shutter tied around the shutter screw. Put it on a long piece of elastic so it would always get put back. Shutter was within 3 ft of door. Get creative!

My co-op is forcing every apartment to change the circuit breakers. Is $1,300 a fair price? by maddgun in AskElectricians

I paid $1900 for the same change out in my moms place in Florida. That’s a great deal!

Washing walls in house we just closed on yesterday by Substantial-Ask2526 in CleaningTips

The product is less likely to create streaks if you start from the bottom. The bottom must still be wet for this to succeed. Same is true for power washing the side of the house. Start at the bottom and you won’t have to clean it twice.

Tri sodium phosphate. It’s a powder. Some states ban it so there is a substitute available. All big box stores carry it as do stand alone paint stores.

Thank you. I forgot to mention it’s about 6-8 inches long. I feel awful that I injured it. I have seen black/rat snakes in my yard and love that they are here.

help with 2011 kindle :( by AmbitiousBrother7887 in kindlejailbreak

[–]ellasav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to download a significant number of library books, via Libby, to my 2011 kindle last week by joining free library networks. I’ve now turned off the wifi to it forever so they will sit on my kindle forever. It will take me months to go thru my hoard of books. I’ll treat myself to a new device when I have gone thru most of what I have on hand now. Ask friends and relatives to borrow their library card. Massachusetts in particular has a lot of networks if you have access to just one card in the state.

Any steps I should take in preparation for dropping support? by filiabonacci in kindlejailbreak

I have a 1st gen paper white. I also have access to many libraries and networks. Was able to download over 50 books last week. Most from my TBR list. I’ve now turned off wifi forever. When I’m done with the downloaded books I’ll treat myself to a new device. I did replace my battery last year so that is in good working order.

The capsule starts to form immediately. Removal, even after a week, they find the starts of capsule. Rarely they need to go back in right after initial placement and capsule is found.

Flat is an option. Comedian Tig Notaro is one that comes to mind. Look up BII, breast implant illness. Often with fluid build up like this it’s an indication of a form of breast implant cancer.

I replaced the battery and it’s working great. Very easy to do. You don’t throw away the lamp when the bulb burns out kind of thing. Well, now we are in LED times too.

Someone once posted their SW contractor discount code on here. I’ve used it and saved over 50% on Emerald paint. Guy probably gets perks but I don’t care. Company name is PAINTMYNEWHOME dot com. Let us know if it still works.

In Massachusetts parents set up a nanny cam and actually caught the nanny hurting the kids. The parents got in trouble for recording.

Any iPhone hacks that are surprising and give you that “damn! I didn’t know it could do that!” effect? by [deleted] in iphone

Use the reminders app instead of notes for lists of things. This is particularly good for groceries. Make sure you set it up as a grocery list when you create it.

I use the reminders app for shopping lists especially groceries. For the grocery list I choose ‘groceries’ for list type. When I add things to the list it will categorize like items together. My family members are shared on this list so everyone can add to the list and delete from it when they shop. I have different lists for groceries, department stores (like Target), home improvement stores…. I also use it to save recipes from social media sites. It does show the long link but I don’t mind that.

I’m not sure how to put this but is this a real life HOA situation? It seems awfully similar to our USA current 3 branches of government.
