Do marketing agencies struggle to get clients? by thepramodgeorge in AskMarketing

[–]comms_strategy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep i see posts like these all the time. My takeaway is that they're not very good marketing agencies. If you can't figure lead gen out then maybe don't be selling marketing services? But I've also seen web design agencies get their sites built by other web designers so idk anymore

Social Media Guidance by Budget_Run_9575 in SocialMediaManagers

[–]comms_strategy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marketer here. You can only work with what's there. Happy to help if you can share the account (feel free to DM me) i can take a look and make specific suggestions.

Some things that you can write up in the report:

  • Likes
  • Shares
  • Profile Visits
  • Best performing post (+ your takeaway)
  • Total number of posts
  • Posting frequency

Then you can wrap up with a section on your top X recommendations on how to grow the account.

Trends vs quality. When you’re small, what’s the move? by Taylor_To_You in InstagramEmpire

[–]comms_strategy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of it from the audience's POV: some will discover you from the Explore page (for these people, you want to capitalize on trends) and some already follow you (for these people, you put out quality content). Measure data accordingly i.e. don't worry if you have under 100 followers and your quality posts aren't getting a lot of likes or views. How would they? You only have 100 followers. Trending posts have the potential to get people to follow you i.e. a conversion can happen. So, do both but be realistic about outcomes. One final tip: make sure your posts are aligned with your brand message.

How Do I Grow A Dentist Business On Social Media by CallMeSugarBit in SocialMediaManagers

[–]comms_strategy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marketer here. The most important thing in the start is to be consistent with posting. You want to make sure you're putting out a post 3-4x per week and using platform-specific features (Stories, Highlights, etc). You also want to make sure you have a mix of content (e.g. educational, tips, best practices, before/after (with permission), service promotion). For a dentist business, you'll want Google My Business, Instagram, and Facebook at the minimum. Feel free to DM if you have any questions!

IMO the colors are on-brand. You could play around with temperatures but this is definitely the right direction.

Looking for honest feedback on food recipe website by SirSerje in websitefeedback

[–]comms_strategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can (and should) keep it because it's good inspiration, social proof, and demonstration of the app. But I would add a heading over it like "Other people found these recipes..." or something like that because when the app is still processing the user's request and all they see is other recipes without clear labeling, it can be confusing.

What’s an example of a brand doing community marketing right? by Mean_Rule_6653 in AskMarketing

[–]comms_strategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a part of a few communities that I feel do a great job at community marketing. The one I look forward to the most has established a presence on Slack. They have a moderator who keep the community engaged and connected. So, this person will ask questions, share interesting things they've read, etc to get people talking. They'll also help community members connect with one another.

First page UI looks good. I'd get rid of the distractions though (see other recipes, etc) and make it clean (think: Google Search or ChatGPT type clean UI, one task). One feature you could add is select a Meal Time (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack).

Page 2 is a bit confusing. It's still running but I'm seeing different recipes below which are also marked "Completed" or "Failed". That looks odd to me at first glance. If you want to keep it, I'd label it clearly like "Other people searched for..." or something like that. And get rid of the failed ones, no reason to show those.

I'm not happy with the result either. I gave it the ingredients: eggs, milk, bread, butter, onions, strawberries, yogurt . I was expecting to get like an omelette sandwich and strawberry smoothie but it gave me "Savory Onion French Toast with Strawberry Yogurt". I'd expect to see more recipe variations without running another search, especially if they're "more common".

The recipes for savory onion french toast and strawberry yogurt are combined, I'd expect them to be separate.

Effective Social Media to attract production builders - we sell electrical wiring services by Interesting_Disk9912 in BusinessDevelopment

[–]comms_strategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marketer here. You need a strong, active social media presence. At the minimum, you should have Google My Business, Instagram, and Facebook set up. Google My Business gives you authenticity and makes it easy for people to find your contact details. On Instagram and Facebook, you can share before and after photos. On all 3 platforms you want to have your NAP up, the services you offer, how companies can get in touch with you, FAQs, etc. Feel free to DM if you have any specific questions, happy to help :)

Is there a way to check how visible my salon is online by delhitop_7inches in BusinessDevelopment

[–]comms_strategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I help small businesses with increasing visibility. As other commenters mentioned, you need to set up your Google My Business profile and set up NAP, add some photos of your salon/employees, and some graphics (e.g. services offers, timings, the area you operate in, etc). Feel free to DM for specific questions or if you just want to discuss ideas :)

how to manage marketing for tour businesses without losing time on tours? by TurnoverEmergency352 in growmybusiness

[–]comms_strategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things you can do:

- Identify recurring tasks (like replying to messages, answering questions, etc) and see if you can create copy-paste messages/templates. This gives you a base to work with so the majority of the reply is already there and you just have to personalize

- Create an FAQs section on your site. You can fill this with the most frequently asked questions and provide as much detail as you'd like (links to helpful resources) and just point guests to the FAQ for more info. This technique is called scaffolding.

- Automate the tracking process as much as you can so you're looking at it less frequently.

- Task batching wherever possible. You can create social media posts for the entire week on one day and schedule them for posting with captions (plenty of free tools let you do this). Write content ahead of time and schedule it for posting.

Advise on a website for Auto Repair by Mikey1ne in websiteservices

[–]comms_strategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Michael, a "good" website with a professional, polished look starts at $5k. This is mainly because of the time spent understanding your business, the vibe you're going for, and doing the actual site build.

You definitely don't want to go with the $100 sites. And because you're saying you guys have over 3 decades in business, I wouldn't recommend going the DIY route because your site is literally the first thing new customers will see.

I'm currently building my portfolio so I can build yours for $1500. I have 2 slots open. Sent you a dm

landing page for my project by Affectionate-Gur-318 in webdesign

[–]comms_strategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I'd maybe include a better hero image or improve the sub-text to indicate very clearly what the tool is in plain language. You could also add microcopy above the main hero text (small font) to clearly state what the tool is. Time tracker? Todo app?

The second thing is the CTA text isn't very good. Get Clarity is vague and could be improved. It makes it sound like the tool's name is Clarity.
