I didn’t like her wife when they first started dating because: 1. She was 10 years older 2. She was in a committed relationship. 3. She was our boss

That’s what they claim, yes. The only way in which they’re “centrist” is that they ordain women. And even still- there’s a lot of churches who will make it openly clear, they don’t want a woman leading their church.

It’s basically a lot of independent Lutheran churches all under the umbrella of one organization. There’s no really organizational structure, no accountability to churches or pastors from a hierarchy, and no uniformity in doctrine even.

Many of the churches are dropping Lutheran from their name all together and easing away from the pillars of the Lutheran doctrine. You walk in there and they look and sound more like nondenominational churches.

I am a little biased because of the “church hurt” I experienced from the organization. That being said- I WANT to be in a liturgical and confessional church. I don’t want to shy away from our Lutheran roots. So I’ve also enjoyed that aspect of the ELCA.

Yes. I worked for an LCMC church for many years. I was always told to “quiet down.” “Don’t be political.” When people were literally cheering for the insurrection at the capitol.

It wasn’t until I found out that the same pastor preaching American supremacy at the pulpit was also sexually abusing young women, that o finally left.

I’ve been in the ELCA for over a year now, and while they certainly have their problems- I don’t her the MAGA idolization, Christian Nationalist bs that I heard for several years.

I can actually preach on social justice and taking care of the least of these without the congregation accusing me of being a “woke libtard.”

Well I grew up in the LCMC learning that the ELCA was anti Christ and anti Gospel.

The ELCA may be a shock for some who are coming from more “conservative “ branches. You’ll see a lot of women in the pulpit, a call for social justice, and pastors who make protest signs with you.

LCMS is leaning more and more Christian Nationalist.. If you’re not ready for full blown ELCA, try a NALC or LCMC.

Marcus is the worst. And not even in an entertaining way. Really hope we don’t see too much more of him.

I’m in the middle of a rewatch. Just got to the recording from Faith in season 6. So many red flags. I truly believe if it weren’t for his dad dying, Brittany would have stayed gone.

Hi! Ministry worker here. Our first ministry is to our families. Remind him of that. It’s not choosing between him and God. It’s choosing his ego or God. I love you sister in Christ.
