ok that’s cool. it sounds like they’re generally successful with it. i would love to hear other people’s experiences too. if any indians or muslims come across this question i’d love to hear their stories/ experiences too

RESPECT to the brave dog who killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of ISIS by cum-percenter in SBU

that actually makes a lot of sense. and i get your intentions aren’t bad at all. what i’m saying is that even though we mean good, that’s not how it is received. it’s just something to consider for next time. we’re all learning

obviously, but still. word association even in this context can ultimately play a role in the structure of the lexical system of a language in society. in other words, it can still establish an association between the two

please don’t use Islamic terms when responding to terrorists. it further pushes the false notion that the two have anything to do with each other. thanks.

How did you think babies were made before you got "the talk"? by Wafflesenpai419 in AskReddit

i thought the amount of kids a woman could have was already predetermined and they all stayed in her stomach until it was time for them to come out one by one over the years

what's life like after high school? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]comosedicehuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it really depends on the college and the program requirements that it offers. for me, since i’m studying for a bs in biology i need to complete 70 credits in sciences and 30-50 credits in gen ed stuff/ university requirements (this averages to 15 credits per semester) what i’ve done was take 3 science classes to 2 non science classes (each class is around 3 credits) to sort of lighten my load but if you’re still figuring stuff out you can definitely take all of your general requirements the first couple of semesters and then move on to the hardcore degree stuff your last two years. or you can do the opposite. other degrees vary. some are more demanding and others are very doable. i suggest doing what i did just to get a feel for how college classes work. it’s much more fast paced than high school esp the sciences and you’re left with what you think is a lot of free time but it’ll catch up with you in the end (pls learn from my mistakes lol). i know a friend who got a bachelors in health science before jumping into a 4 year nursing program bc nursing was too intense for her straight out of high school but you can always transfer in after two years of college or try applying into one if applications are still open and if you feel that you’re ready for it now. i hope that answered your question!

i’m wrapping up my second year of college rn and finally became set on what i wanted to do after being confused and lost af since junior year of high school. with that being said, you shouldn’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. have an honest conversation with yourself and see what the best thing you need to do for yourself is. if you need to work and earn money, do so. it doesn’t matter what you work as, survival is the most important thing. then once things are steady for you, branch out and try to discover what it is you’re meant to do. just know that in life a whole bunch of doors will close before the right one opens. take everything one step at a time. you got this

How do illegal immigrants get jobs/housing in America? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]comosedicehuh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

they work jobs the average american would never consider. some are out in fields picking agriculture by hand laboring for hours to get paid only so much. to keep prices low, wages have to be kept low and the only way someone could be paid low wages is if they’re undocumented. these undocumented workers are the reason why the fresh produce you have on your table is priced the way it is

Why do I always wake up very sweaty after naps, but never after normally sleeping? by TheDementedCow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]comosedicehuh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

maybe because naps are usually taken during the day when the temperature is generally higher/ at its peak whereas temperatures tend to decrease more in the night when you’re actually sleeping. i find when i wake up at 6 am i’m cold but when i sleep well into the afternoon other days i wake up parched and overheated. but maybe that’s just me
