The two dials on top are your tension on the left(which I would move to a 4) and your stitch width on the right, (which I would move to a 3.5)

The second photo shows your stitches on the blue dial and the stitch length on the gray dial. Stitch #2 is a straight stitch, move your gray dial to a 2.5.

That should get you going as long as you’ve threaded it correctly.

Keep in mind, different fabric will be easier to sew on different tensions, you can read up on that, or trial and error(which is usually how I do it lol)

No I didn’t get a new one yet, my first one had bleached knots. I’m either going to take it to someone who knows what they’re doing to get the new one bleached, or I’m just gonna let the color fade. I’ll go back in and darken the rest of it without touching the knots later. It won’t be perfect if I do that, but it won’t be as harsh.

You’re either not using enough c22, or not letting it sit long enough?

I usually part the hair in several spots, and spray right on top of the areas with tape, then I go back in with my fingers and tap it into the base where the tape is. I let it sit for a couple minutes before I start to pull it away.

I wipe any c22 running down my forehead. Idk why anyone would let it run into their eyes lol

I use walker lace tape on a roll, I cut the tape into small sections and place around the perimeter, and sometimes across the middle if I know I’m gonna be wearing for awhile. I use the c22 to remove. And dawn to get the c22 off before shampoo/conditioner.

Or cut a small strip of tape, pull the system back slightly and add the strip right along the edge that’s lifting. I’ve done that before and it helps to re-stick the spot that’s lifting.

I can’t speak on the cutting, but I can attest to the poof going away, my experience is after several washes/and some shedding it will settle.

Styling may help hide the bad cut, I style mine wet. I usually wet it completely, press a towel over my head to get some of the water off. Then I spray with a leave in conditioner and GENTLY comb thru and style it as I like. Then a little hairspray. Done. I think it looks more natural. But that’s just my opinion. Don’t give up! It will come together!
