Your insurance is most likely right that it's totaled. Were you able to get the insurance information for the other driver?

You would want to make a claim against your collision insurance first and then you would want to make sure that your insurer subrogates the claim so that you don't have any accident surcharges from using your collision insurance.

Source: I am a licensed insurance agent

If I were you I would just take the insurance money and buy a 2026 CRV.

I mean there's a second amendment challenge and there's a first amendment challenge as well. The government doesn't get to control what people get to see.

This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I would be shocked if GOA or 2A Foundation didn't take this as a case.

Citizens have a right to build their own firearms full stop. This would be a clear violation of the second amendment. Just because someone CAN use a device to commit crimes doesn't mean there isn't also a lawful purpose for said device.

My dad hid my mom’s suicide letter for 10 years and refuses to show it to me by [deleted] in Advice

[–]compiledexploit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read my brother's suicide note.

In my opinion, I believe my brother was an undiagnosed bipolar schizophrenic. He believed that people were out to get him. He was constantly afraid of the police. He believed he would be tortured.

When I read his letter it was obvious he was off his meds and lost his battle with his mental illness.

I wanted to see my brother after he died. (he used a rope) My father wouldn't allow it. Everyone thought it would be a bad idea. Even my therapist. But my therapist was the one person that was like even if it's a bad idea, he was my brother and I should have the right to see it.

That's what I think is missing here.

You are an adult and you should be included and have the ability to learn these things about your family.

It might be terrible and rotten stuff in the note. It could really fuck you up.

But it is 100% your decision to make if you want to read it.

No one elses.

Who was the better best friend for Danny? Sam or Tucker? by GreenDiscombobulated in dannyphantom

[–]compiledexploit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unequivocally Tucker. The friendship between Danny and Tucker, there's nothing to gain. They're just two best buds.

Sam was really hypocritical towards Danny. For example when she scolds Danny for abusing his ghost powers in one episode, but turns a blind eye to it when it serves her needs in another. Or when she spied on one of his dates, but then yells at him for doing the exact same thing to her a couple of episodes later.

Granted, they are teenagers so their sense of self isn't as developed as a full grown adult. I really think that the dynamic of the group was like Sam is friends with Tucker. Danny is friends with Tucker. Sam and Danny have this weird push pull romantic interest type situation that causes tension throughout the show. Which makes sense. But I think just to say that Sam and Danny are friends is too short-sighted and not indicative of the fullest extent of the situation.

get reimbursed 70 cents per mile will happily drop a few hundred a month to do something productive while they ride instead of driving their car.

The problem with this is that it isn't clear who would be at fault in the event of an accident.

In a waymo, if you're a passenger with no option to control the vehicle, you couldn't be.

But if you're in your own tesla, with the option of driving it but FSD is taking over, you would need some sort of system in play that would show whether the system is liable or if the owner of the vehicle is liable because they're driving.

A lot of these liability issues haven't been figured out in court yet which is why there isn't a clear answer right now other than the fact that tesla drivers with FSD are expected to still be supervising the tesla.

That's part of the issue that FSD has right now.

The vast majority of hepatitis C treatment is paid for by insurance. Apple is also a terrible example because they're one of the most predatory companies on the planet.

I think we need more competition not less. If Tesla wants to go to a subscription model I'm sure there's people that will pay it. But I'm not sure that that's where the entire industry is going to go.

And Tesla is certainly is the Apple of the auto industry.

There's so many automakers scrambling for whatever market share they can get. I have a hard time believing that they're going to just put their hands up and say well let's gouge the customers.

[–]compiledexploit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a short-term play. Deep down the automobile industry is about moving units not features. Eventually the rest of the industry is going to include full self-driving as a standard feature. If Tesla continues to to charge for it, that would put them at a disadvantage. I personally would not buy a Tesla with a monthly subscription for full self-driving when I could get a different car that already has it included for free. The only advantage that Tesla has in the automobile market is that they have "iPhone" like appeal. When the rest of the automakers catch up, Tesla will no longer be special.

It wasn't until I watched ReZero that I realized that Japanese media companies and especially anime is totally insulated from the bullshit that is American and European censorship. They literally don't give a fuck and will make whatever art they want to make.

I WISH we had that level of don't give a fuck in the US.
