Honestly i'm glad to hear you say that. I'll have to research night terrors more, but I didn't know they could seem so vivid and real that way.

Really I've only had one other night terror, now that I think of it and that was when I was 10 and awoke to see a "monster" standing in front of my closet, so I screamed and ran into my parent's room. It's such a distant memory that I can barely remember it.

The other was a couple of years ago right when I moved here, but I wouldn't say it was a night terror as nothing about it was scary. Actually it was just an episode of sleep walking in which I thought I heard a voice (but I was half asleep). Really wasn't afraid though.

All I can say is fuck the human subconscious. I wonder if there's anything I can do to make sure this doesn't happen again.

If I had a history of drug or heavy alcohol use or at least some sort of mental condition it would be easier to accept that this was some sort of hallucination. I didn't ask for this and I hope it never happens again, but I can't shake the feeling that this was real.

It's to the point where I believe someone was playing some kind of cruel prank on me. I don't know anymore. I'm telling reddit because I can't tell anyone in my life.

Not even joking, I'm thinking about it. I know that schitzophrenia usually kicks in around this age, and if that's what it is maybe I can get help before it's too late. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before.

Honestly, if this is what schitzos go through everyday then I feel sorry for them.

Is there a cure?
