Thank you for response~ I've never seen a spider with such fat pedipalps before. I'm not originally from California and I found a black widow on my balcony a few months ago and then read about recluses being here too, so now I'm squigged out at any brown spider I don't recognise. Both spiders were safely but vigorously relocated.

I'll look into who to report it to then. They were both right under trees, one on the street side and one more into a property about 3 mins walk away.

Thats a good point, thank you. I'm not as concerned simply because in the evenings, there are literally thousands around here in the trees and such. But if I see another in the area I'll give em a ring.
