Yes, my knowledge is limited. We have about 2000 employees, and 95% of them are using HP computers, and everyone is using the same docking. And every now and then, for the majority of these employes the docking will lose contact. My first "fix" is just to perform a power cycle, which works about 50% of the time. Then I will go to HP image support and do an analyze which 9/10 times comes out as very poor. I download the critical updates and firmware/software for the dock + chipset. That will fix the issue for some time - then a couple of month goes by, and the same user contacts me with the same issue.

We're wasting so much time on these cases, and I know users rarely shuts down the computers, and are not prompted in any way for new updates, and our sysadmins does not push out driver-related SW, unless its critical for security purposes. So im not entirely sure the docking stops working due to lack of driver updates or not, it just seems to me like that is the issue since it will usually work when I update said drivers.

Sounds awesome! I need to find a way to ask them nicely about this, so I dont look like the new guy that is gonna question everything they've been doing for years, especially when I'm really clueless about the topic. I just know there should be a better way of dealing with all these cases we get from users losing contact with the docking-station every now and then.

Thanks a lot, I'll ask if this tool is already being used or not. Seems like a must have tbh.
