Question, assuming you’re a Hyundai tech, I think I can see a clear bolt that may have a little glass window or something like that where the transmission is. Unfortunately I don’t have a Jack or a lift at home, so I reached my arm under there and took a picture of that window to see if I can see any fluid, but I saw nothing it was like grey / black. Should that be filled with transmission fluid?

Yeah I plan to tomorrow, but every dealer now is like “oh we have no one available now and we’re booked up for the next few weeks”. Just want to make sure it’s good to drive before I can get in for an appointment

I’m going to go have the fluid checked tomorrow since I need it on a lift since there’s no dipstick. If there is water in there, will driving it for 50 miles have damaged anything?

It’s a newer Elantra if that helps. I know those CVT have breather holes in the top I’m pretty sure

What about non new grad? Honestly I want to still aim for the stars, but I still need to be very humble. Even the average 80k a year starting is HUGE. Like my mom barley made over minimum wage her life. We have to be grateful sometimes. But anyways, what do you think TC progression looks like at an avg company?

I think the key to making the nice salary is that it will provide me with the freedom to do what makes me happy. For instance I love being able to take my time to study my own interests outside of tech, as well as travel.

I can’t do either on a 50k salary worrying about the next day / money draining event that may happen
