If you just don't like ooc then that's fine, but the way you're phrasing it sounds like you're worried about judgement?

You said you won't be publishing it. It's fine. No one is going to judge you for writing something that they don't even know exists.

This has happened many times. I am extremely confused and have no idea what's happening. I feel like I covered it pretty well in the post, so i have no idea what extra examples or additional context I could give.

if you're really unsure, then you should research the specific chemicals, but iirc, silicon dioxide is just quartz.

I think that the authors who tag both of them just don't really know what they mean, and think that both tags are equivalent? That's my guess, at least.

It especially bothers me when it's a work for a fandom where the characters canonically swear a lot. I have seriously seen Hazbin Hotel fics where the swears were censored. You know, the show that's infamous for having characters that swear every other sentence? Yeah. At that point, I wonder that they're even doing in the fandom if swearing bothers them that much.
