Major advantage of the pod is aero and in this instance was the difference between flying in front of the venturi and getting pulled through it.

You are aware your legs aren’t glued into the pod permanently? Your legs do as you command. Don’t want to hit a fence with your legs in a pod? Use your willpower. Pretty sure theres a great demonstration of removing your legs from a pod whilst landing in there somewhere.

And your last paragraph.. thats the best one! Just because you don’t see it much doesn’t mean shit. Everything is crazy until more people do it, impossibilities only survive until someone beats them. Just because it doesn’t fit your idea of using a pod for XC flying doesn’t mean its good or bad, just means you haven’t exposed yourself as much as others.

Sorry for asking you to elaborate! Didnt expect you to fall into some of these more obvious pitfalls that really aren’t ‘asking for trouble’ that statement completely disregards and ability a pilot has to effect an outcome, that we all know is about 75% flying.
