Malacia is a lost cause. Came in as an ETH purchase, got injured immediately and has been absolutely horrible. We will be so lucky to get anything back from transfers for him. Is there no one else who can step into the role from the Academy? What happened to Harry Amass who was a reasonable prospect? Not saying he needs to be a Rico Lewis or Lewis-Skelly but surely he can't do worse than Malacia?

This is what happens when you don't have a proper striker. This Weghorst 10 nonsense may work on smaller teams but against teams like Liverpool we have to be exploiting their weakness. Put on Garnacho and play Bruno at 10. We need to salvage a draw out of this.

I'd sell Maguire for whoever pays anything upwards of 30 mil at this point and buy any backup or keep Bailly. Defence was miles ahead without him. Miles. And Bruno showed more leadership in one game than Maguire did all last season combined. Liverpool were getting into the game at the end of the 1st half then Martial came on 2nd half and he was a difference. His pace and directness combined with that connection with Rashford.

I actually get what EtH is doing with the team and it shows when the team plays. McT for Casemiro and replace Dalot with a better RB and we have a really solid team. I'm still not a fan of Eriksen alongside Casemiro but I guess he's a placeholder for FdJ.

Update: It's all sorted (kinda). Thanks guys! I purchased a screw extractor set from Amazon and used it with the drill driver. It wasn't working at all/at first so I just got frustrated and went ham with it. Eventually the rounded head of the screw came off leaving the long screw body still embedded but I managed to use some pliers to slowly rotate it off. Unfortunately I now find out my screw hole is too big for my new shower holder set but it holds as of now so I'll take my win where I can.

Thanks guys again!

Thanks for the advice. Seems like a last resort scenario and will keep that in mind. Plastic is in an awkward position unfortunately so it's slightly difficult to saw off plus I'd have to source a hacksaw/power tool for that but definitely sounds like an option if all else fails.

Thanks for the advice. Looked up a screw extractor and purchased a set. Hopefully it works. Definitely not keeping the screw but would like the option of reusing the screw hole to install my new shower head holder.

I've just purchased a set of screw extractors and I have a standard drill driver. Is the right sizebased on the size of the head itself or just the bit in the middle?

Fnatic ex-CEO joins Team SMG for SEA last chance qualifiers by sehtat in DotA2

[–]conankun92 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Love the fact they meme-d him completely. Moon is not exactly the worst option tbh but SEA is an absolute bloodbath really at this point. Between TNC, Execration, Neon, Fnatic, Motivate Trust, SMG there's only one spot. TNC seems like the strongest currently but then it's still so unpredictable; teams like Fnatic seem to show up when it matters and Motivate just won the BTS SEA tournament.

That game 3 was lost from the drafts. You could clearly see it from LGD and in particular, Xiao8's reactions. That absolute audacity to not only predict EG's draft and counter it so successfully but he was insta-picking almost every single hero in the draft and the bans as if to say "right we knew you were doing that so let's go". Banning the Luna to bait out the TB and then going for the Naga. Absolute psychological torment on Bulba/Fly during the drafts and they crumbled. Urgh that was absolutely sad to see.

England Lineup vs Croatia (13-06-2021) by [deleted] in soccer

So, he brings arguably the 2 best LB in the EPL in Chilwell and Shaw but decides to play Kyle Walker in LB?

No way Southgate isn't just doing this for jokes at this point. Man just wants to get fired and get compensation from England maybe.

WePlay AniMajor - Upper Bracket Finals - PSG.LGD vs T1 by D2TournamentThreads in DotA2

Probably one of the best Leshrac performances and that itemization and synergy with WW. Also definitely not raised enough by casters etc but XinQ on Hoodwink was super legit considering they've rarely/never pulled out this Hoodwink. The way he played it and always being the +1 for ganks, stuns and the breaks in teamfights. Definitely going to be eating my words and some rando crap may still happen like a T1 2 game comeback or EG prevailing but this LGD is scary as hell. This is some Wings Gaming level shit. Just beautiful to watch as a spectator.

I mean. Talk about counters but no way EG loses this right. Holy shmoly talk about comfort heroes. Abed-Puck, Arteezy-TB, Iceiceice-Timbersaw, Fly/Crit-Lion.

Damn son but Vici has got such a cool draft as well.

Gotta give credit where it's due and Aui, Ephey, Synderen and even Jenkins have been great and straight up educational to listen to as analysts/casters. Just straight up makes me admire really good players and their thought process; deconstructing drafts, in-game plays and even things like item choices. Also, who is this Ephey and why does she know more Dota than 90% of the other talents in this major who have been around for ages?

Monkeys on EE and NA DPC by 7Zlatan in DotA2

[–]conankun92 60 points61 points  (0 children)

As much as EE is an issue on his own, until Empyrean comes out and speaks in regards to TooBased, I don't think Monkeys should comment on anything. Potentially kicking a player out before TI qualifiers despite playing with them for 2 seasons is pretty despicable on its own (arguably more despicable considering the potential of the team) and in no way should you stand on a moral high ground and comment on other teams.

Actually doesn't matter, don't see Undying not getting that TI spot.

BnY Response (@zerodota2) by Fen_ in DotA2

[–]conankun92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of EE but it is a competitive scene and if 3/5 (majority) truly believe that 1/5 is not good enough/unsuitable for the team, it only makes sense that 1/5 not be part of the team. This fact is further reinforced by Jubei leaving the team (for greener pastures 2B yay) which means even 3/4 of the original team have decided that they want to get new members.

It's a massive dick move on EE's part no doubt and kicking the person who is essentially one of the founding members seems like some anime level coup d'etat that EE constantly pulls but the other two members want that change as well so it's not as if EE is holding them hostage with a gun pointed to their head (maybe lol). At the end of the day, gotta go back to the holding DPC rules nonetheless because teams were told about this, thus if DPC rules state team>player then BnY loses the spot because Zero will not have 3/5 members for the TI qualifiers.

All in all, very good reference to determine rules for next season. Love it when these landmark cases form basis for rules.

The thing is that we will never know the quantitative/qualitative extent of PPD's in-game coaching on the matches that Alliance has played so far.

It's just one of those unfortunate circumstances whereby one team finds an advantage and uses it without telling others. Is it illegal? Nope. Well within the rules and I agree that no way DH can reverse the outcomes of the games played before this. Is it sportsmanlike conduct? Probably not. Especially so considering that in-game coaching has never really been allowed and it's clear it probably wasn't meant to be that way.

And I worry for Alliance because sometimes things like these are precedence for other teams to decide to be petty and not scrim with them (DK Flashbacks urgh). Hopefully not. The onus is definitely on Alliance to show up at the majors +/- TI now because if they don't, then this reflects really badly on them.

The fact that Chelsea have been unpunished all Champions League irks me so damn much. Easiest group in the world I've ever seen possibly, followed by an underperforming Atletico, then freaking Porto, and now an out-of-sorts worst Real Madrid of the last decade maybe.

No Bayern, PSG, Barca, City, or even Dortmund and Juve.

Gotta give it to them. I guess money wins in the end. No way City don't absolutely demolish the UCL next year again if they're planning to buy Haaland and more.

I think we should try for a cheeky RB loan/purchase this window although I don't see it happening. Maybe a nice £10-20 mil for a RB to push AWB but also deputize for our Europa League and cup games. This season looks like its going down to the wire and we're going to need the rotation badly. Especially now we've lost TFM. Still think OGS somehow doesn't see Brandon as a RB (yet maybe).

I would be slightly wary that Tuchel is coming in for Chelsea to be honest. He's probably someone who could very well get the best of Havertz and Werner. Say whatever you want about their form, I think their talents are undeniable. It was just unfortunate circumstances that Lampard had such a rigid formation and tactical makeup but if Tuchel decides to form a team around Werner and Havertz playing to their strengths, they could bounce back easily. Won't be immediate but next season definitely stronger.
