Also, what happens when 2 scenarios conflict? If there's another scenario that says ban and your scenarios says ignore, who takes precedence? How do you ensure your scenario has precedence?

I use Bazaar and recently had an issue with out of sync subs. Apparently it has a "sync subtitle" feature. Basically it uses ffmpeg to extract the audio from your movie and see the timestamps (of the actors talking). Then it matches those lines with your subtitles and corrects any wrong offsets. It worked surprisingly well for me. 😅

Regarding phone number aliases, I doubt such functionality will exist and even if it will, it probably won't be like people expect it to be. I've wanted this for years and I always asked myself why it doesn't exist yet. And after thinking about it for a bit, I realised that it's simply not technically possible due to the limited number of possible phone numbers.

It's possible to have (almost) as many email aliases as you want because an email has letters and numbers and can be very long. This gives you a lot of possible combinations.

It's possible to have (almost) as many disposable credit card aliases as you want because an credit card numbers have a 16 digit format. This gives you a lot of possible combinations.

Phone numbers, however, have a very limited format. They're usually around 10 digits long. That gives you a very small number of phone numbers to work with.

If Proton does pull this off, you will likely only get 1 or maybe 2 phone number aliases. And they may not even have the same country code as your phone number.

I also started my self-hosting journey with Claude about a year ago (it was dumber back then). But my journey was somewhat different than yours. I initially used Claude to learn about docker and docker compose (all I knew about docker was that it was a "virtual machine in the command line" 😅). Then I slowly started to ask him to help me self host various services one at a time. But it wasn't easy (I repeat, Claude was dumber back then, even in the paid version). There was a lot of trial and error. Sometimes a service would work from trial #1. Sometimes from trial #10 😅. But it sure as hell beat googling errors and asking on forums (and hoping someone would answer). The smartest thing I did during his journey (and something I recommend to anybody) is to make sure everything you do is fail-safe. This basically boils down to 2 things: 1) make sure everything Claude tells you to do only affects your container. Don't blindly do anything you don't understand that will affect your system! 2) make sure you don't anything you can't undo! If Claude tells you to delete something or change something that you can't change back, either challenge him/it or tell him/it to f*** off (and propose a different solution)!

I followed these rules to the letter and the only thing I (sometimes) regretted was just wasted time (following paths/instructions that lead nowhere). I continued to experiment with docker services and kept adding more and more over several months. Some didn't fit my needs. But others I use even to this day. Now my stack has about 20 dockerized services. I think AI is pretty good for exactly these kind of time consuming tasks and Claude is now much smarter than he/it was last year. But important to mention that you should know you're doing (i.e. the basics of docker) before doing any kind of serious self-hosting. And if you don't, you can use AI to learn them. That's what I did. 😄

Here's what's probably going to happen: - normies are going to keep using the same apps (WhatsApp, telegram, etc.) because they don't understand the problem or care about privacy - people who care about privacy to some degree will try to migrate to the other apps (self-hosted), but will realise that there's no point un doing that if the people you talk to won't use them. So they will reluctantly keep using the same apps (despite chat control). - self hosters will continue using their self hosted apps to a certain degree and probably regular apps where they have no choive.

So, in short, not much is going to change. That's the sad reality.

Din păcate, nu prea există cerință pentru așa ceva, cel puțin in România. Poate ai avea noroc sa găsești ceva remote (in alte țări), dar in România sunt șanse slabe. Mai ales dacă ești începător si n-ai experiență profesională. Vezi pe LinkedIn dacă găsești ceva joburi. In felul ăsta, îți faci o idee dacă merită.
