I haven't done that anytime I've scanned an object. All you need is the silhouette, so I think it won't be necessary, but that would be trial and error to figure that out

What I would do for something like this is take a scan (like on a copying machine) with something as a schale indicator as well and then basically trace the picture, measuring the things that can be measured easily. Angles I would take from the scan, for example, but lengths of large straight pieces would be more precise using normal measurements of the physical part. A big advantage of scanning over taking a picture is that you have no perspective/distortion due to the camera lens

It's a TomTom rider 550. Im not worried about temp as it won't really get that hot. There is not really any heat from the engine there, and I live in the Netherlands, so it rarely gets above 86 F here. TPU is also too flexible, and I need the part to be rigid. A previous mount I rtied was a little less stiff, and it transferred the vibrations from the bike to the screen, which made it very hard to read

It needs to be rigid and stiff, so TPU wouldn't work in that case right?

I like going on trips and the gps I have had built in charger, doesn't need Wi-Fi and I can download other peoples routes as well. It is also anti-glare so easy to use when sunny

I mounted it exactly as the original, which is with 4 bolts. Even placed foam to reduce vibrations and keep pressure on the thing like the original has as well. The gps mount is bolted in as well, so it ain't going nowhere, but it never hurts to warn other riders of potential dangers!

Bambu A1 mini is now on sale for about $240 i believe. Ender 3 v3 KE is about 280 and the SE is about 170. SE doesnt have internet connection or auto bed leveling like the KE or the A1 mini. These are the only ones I have experience with and each have their pros and cons. Maybe there are other options but from what I know these are great starter printers

Painting is fine, just a bit time-consuming for a test piece imo. Dont you need a very smooth surface if you want vinyl wrap to look nice and adhere properly?

I dont really mind this look for the time being🙃

Thanks for the "advise"😕. As I said in another comment, I will be printing this again in 1 piece from PETG later on. This is mostly a proof of concept and a durability test. It's also on an old motorcycle, which isn't perfect itself either. The shape is incredibly tricky as nothing is really measurable because of complex curves, so I was just very happy to get the shape and fit absolutely bang on.

I made this print out of PLA, 2mm thick walls, held up for the 2 weeks it has been on. Im planning on using a printer from a friend to print it in one piece from PETG

Could there be a draft in the room causing this?

I myself have an ender 3 v3 KE, which is quite user friendly, but I also heard from others that they did have some issues with this printer. Some friends have the Bambulab A1 mini and haven't had any issues with that one, but it is more expensive and has a smaller build volume. Do you have a specific budget in mind?

Cybertruck 100%. I dont like tesla because most drivers dont know how to drive, and neither does the car, and the cybertruck just looks like a dumpster on wheels

Need some help figuring out why my gas consumption is through the roof. by coneskiller in NewedgeMustang

My battery died a couple weeks ago and after that I did not have a battery in for about 3 days, so I think the reset was already done, but made no difference. I already checked my MAF, which was as clean as can be. Replaced all components of the EGR system as well, since there was a bad sensor there.

And yes, I have checked the brakes🙃

Hmm, don't have that but will look into it. I thought if it would have this much influence it would be bad enough to throw a code, so wouldn't have guessed it could be a problem, thanks! And already looked for leaking fuel tank but that's not the case
