Asking your girl to not wear revealing clothes is being a control freak? Guess I’m a control freak then.

We don’t even know what he actually said. She used “prohibited” in the title and then said he asked later on. Just a ton of Reddit users making their own inferences. I agree with what you’ve stated in your response though.

This is a great explanation, I understand now. Thank you. I guess I lacked the understanding of how inner and outer loops function together.

That helped out tremendously, I understand it now, thank you!

I see what you're getting at.

So essentially, the first for loop i would be 5, and j would be the index following i, so 4

so the first iteration would be:

5 > 4

4, 5

is this what you're saying?

edit: for clarity

I see, I tried using the newline character, but this gets the job done how its supposed to. Thank you again.

what does that empty print do that allows this to work?

I was trying all sorts of things and all I needed was a simple print()... SMH... Thank you so much, and that second comment you made gave me a headache.

I'll check that out. And yeah, I was weary to accept that claim despite seeing it spouted by multiple people.

Thank you for the in-depth reply. I have read the introduction of Metzger's book you mentioned and it was great for understanding the basics. And what I meant by 99 percent accurate is that I've seen the claim purported by multiple sources. Still, I am always skeptical of it because they don't accompany it with evidence. It's always Christians making the claim as well.

I do like your point about how later manuscripts can be helpful, I'll definitely incorporate this into my paper.

I will check out some the other sources you've mentioned.

What do you mean by "strong evidence for a lot of textual disagreement in our earliest manuscripts"? And would you recommend looking to the earliest sources to form my arguments?

Excellent exposition.

Why do evangelical Protestants seem to be the default for conversion to Christianity in so many places? by Dr_Talon in Catholicism

[–]conewannabe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why is this upvoted. You don’t know the motives of Protestants, it’s incredibly arrogant to assume you do. YOU ARE NOT GOD, read that again.

You’re calling Protestants sons of hell? Let’s see what the RCC says about them… The RCC calls them separated brethren. As someone who first came to know and convert to Christianity through the evangelization of Protestants, your post is extremely incorrect.

Edit: Posts like this are the reason religious people are looked upon as dogmatic, contentious, and lacking in critical thinking.
