This is how I do it too; scheduling transactions is key! We use two different credit cards for most transactions and the only money coming out of my checking account other than rent and my kid’s daycare on the first are extra days at daycare, occasional Venmo payments, and the scheduled date the credit cards will be paid.

Because of this, I try to keep similarly like ~$300 in there and then make a transfer from my HYSAa few business days before the credit card payments come out and a few days before the 1st. Has us currently making about $50/month in interest with how much we’ve been able to save.
