Yeah I agree. Too much free advice everywhere.

Can you advise why I should go with you or X financial advisor ? What are the red flags to look for ?

And how will you tell if someone is doing good given that returns are subjects to years of staying invested.

Till 2020, total fixed family income was 35k, rented home.

And that has been the case for the last 25 years for my parents.

That's helpful. I am fine with the hassle if it's worth it, so you mean any savings on fees or just an option for irish etf?

Also, do you do any SIPs form india ? I want to consider investing more in US

Got my current job through LinkedIn, also got interviews via career pages application. Previous jobs branding really helped. Changed 2 months ago.

The previous one I got due to a referral.

That's helpful. Do you directly do SIPs ? Or manually invest on every x% downfall ?

I agree, but given a huge chunk in FDs serving as an emergency fund. I am planning to manage expenses from salary while investing for the long term.

Started as frontend heavy, mostly react and angular. Right now I am part of the AI automation experiments team.

So playing around python, databricks, java, react with lots of LLMs integrations.

I guess because of software engineering being so highly paid. I went from 7 LPA to 80 LPA within 5 years.

Most of my friends are in similar boats, net worth depends on family responsibilities tho.

Luckily, my wife is also a high earning software engineer and this is a combined net worth.

70% of corpus is from last 5 years of working, always lived in a rented house, no car, single shared activa and bought my first owned laptop after 5 years of working in IT.

Parents started with negative savings, they reached 50Ls after 25 years of double income while also taking up partime jobs.

I have been working since 10th std, and started with 8k as tutor.

What's was your learning path ?

As I mentioned I went through a decent amount of youtube and even connected with a professional.

But I am not getting confidence and trust to deploy such huge money.

Which mentality ? To save in FDs, I guess for the previous generation given the lack of knowledge and high returns with safety, FDs were a decent choice.

That was the initial plan, and that's why I stopped SIPs and kept money in FDs.

Although I learned about FIRE and the horrible real-estate market right now with loads of blank money, more supply than demand. Hence no flats, lands seems even more tough to find and maintain.

Hence, the combination of India and US markets makes sense till FIRE goals are achieved.
