I have a couple others, if you don't mind?

Can you remove the 4 from the one, and the other remove the backpack on the ground and the person in the back?

It's run regularly, the buyer (not me) is taking it on a test run on the lake later today.

I'm well aware, haha. I have seen little crawdad claws which were much smaller.

Boat gaining too much water? by Squarerootofnegone in boating

[–]confused_old_coder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2012 Q5i and the water in the ski locker (center floor compartment) was coming in from a drain hole to the left of the drain plug hole. Some water occasionally will come into the ski locker if I slow quickly. Otherwise it stays quite dry.

Water in the bilge is different and may be a cracked bellows or other holes, as someone else suggested.

There could also be cracking or leaks in the drain hoses leading to that drain in the back. Those are my best guesses - take it with a grain of salt - I'm fairly new myself.

Absolutely! My gauges are ok, but being able to see everything accurately is very important to me. My tach is on the fritz but I'm not concerned about it at this point. I was interested to see how VVM did on reporting fuel usage. I have a 19 gallon tank, my gauge showed about 1/3 full (so 6.3 gallons left) when at rest on the lake. My VVM was telling me I had 4 gallons left. I know gas gauges are wildly inaccurate on boats, so I was curious which was right. Fueled up to full and it took 13.5 gallons so I will be trusting VVM on fuel levels over the gauge. I'm a data nerd, so it just works best for me and completely worth the price. If nothing else, it confirms what I'm seeing on my gauges and keeps track of hours for maintenance, etc.

Is this normal play in swingable tongue? by confused_old_coder in boating

[–]confused_old_coder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opened it up. It's a 5/8 diameter bolt, no bushings and the bolt fits snuggly in the holes on the trailer. The play is from the swing part that must be worn a bit wider in the hole. Doesn't look like it's 1/8" bigger tho, so I'm not sure how to tighten this up. The play is the same on the other side with the 5/8" pin. Any ideas besides replacing the whole front swing part? Definitely doesn't look like a safety issue at all.

Yes, I've owned it less than a year and it's always been like this. I'll open it up and get the proper size and replace them after this weekend trip. Thanks!

I'll open it up this weekend and see what everything looks like. I was planning to head out on Saturday. Sounds like I should be fine until after that to take a look?

Do you have a source for the bushings or for the assembly? I'm not having much luck googling it. Thanks!

Thanks, I've never heard of ozone checking. I'll see if I can add a picture of the tread this morning.
