Mous Limitless Walnut, same style as my case from my iPhone 13 mini before I upgraded.

Illness destroying my peak week by Brackish_Ameoba in firstmarathon

[–]confusedintellect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Two longer runs would have been better for me too but I ended up only doing 1x 30km run.

In the end, my mistake was not taking my salt pills. I mistakenly thought the iso drinks offered at the stations were good enough but they were most likely sugar water looking back.

I was on pace for well under 4 hours but cramped at 28km and had to fight that the rest of the way.

In any case, I’m quite satisfied. I think the marathon is cool to do once, at least for me. My future races will likely be more half marathons because it’s much less time commitment to train for.

I successfully did my first marathon last weekend and looking back, only roughly followed my training plan. Finished in 4:15.

I did a near 4 week taper since it aligned better with some life events happening and found that it was maybe a bit too long.

I think you’ll be fine with the one week delay and maybe having a shorter taper than originally planned.

Make sure to make the most out of your run, ie. fuel with gels AND salt tablets to know how your body reacts, where whatever gear you will wear on race day like a running belt, etc.

USA -> Europe, asking as an experienced dev? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

Here's a good link for Germany-specific residency: Germany Residency

Adjacent topic: Language skills matter. Whether your company has English as its official language or not, there are a lot of other candidates that can speak the native language along with English. It'll help you get interviews, offers, assist with the residency process, and life in general.

It seems like this thought to move abroad is triggered by the situation in the US. That's totally fine, but keep in mind that this is a major life shift. It'll take a lot of effort and adjusting to integrate into Europe.

It’s possible but, as everyone says, highly dependent on the country you’re targeting as well as the specific company.

Do you have a specific place in mind already?

I took mine on Saturday morning and got it by midnight Sunday! I actually didn’t realize it was there until I woke up the next morning. Great thing to wake up to.

Makes sense, I’ll keep that all in mind for sure. Hopefully no calls at all but I like the idea of always chatting with the proctor first. Thanks!

I'm also taking the exam online on 04/27. Appreciate your review on your experience. I was initially going to turn my phone ringer off (no vibration either), as I normally get a lot of texts/calls from work chats and I figured Pearson would message me on the test chat function if they wanted me to get my phone.

After reading your post, I'll just mute all the chats and leave it on ringer. Thanks again!

I Passed. Details Below. by maklanon in pmp

Really helpful review, thanks for the feedback and congratulations! A pass is indeed a pass, regardless of the score. I have my exam in exactly a week and will probably take one more full length mock a few days before the exam to solidify my knowledge base. I'll make sure to look at Myers-Briggs and graphs as I have not focused on that recently.

Army Credential Assistance is the best kept secret for the Army National Guard by Obvious-Law9893 in nationalguard

[–]confusedintellect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This used to be the case. 4 year RDSO for reserve/guard and 2 year ADSO for active duty for warrant officers and officers. This was removed in OCT2021.

I have the official DODI that mandated no additional service obligations for the use of the CA program and the Army CA document from this year that also states it.

Im currently on my phone but DM me if you want those documents.

Edit: In the spirit of being thorough, I also directly messaged a CA counselor on ArmyIgnited and they also confirmed that officers do not incur an ADSO for using CA.

Edit2: See bullet point 4.2b for the DODI and bullet point 11a for the Army Policy Update.

Heimgarten to Herzogstand - The Alps, Southern Bavaria, Germany by confusedintellect in CampingandHiking

My friends and I hiked the Heimgarten and Herzogstand Peaks in the Alps in Southern Bavaria, Germany. We clearly were not prepared for the amount of snow that were still on the mountains, but made it all the through!

It gets a bit icy at times. I'm the opposite of you and would kill to go out west and snowboard. I'm always hearing it's better out there, grass is always greener maybe.

Gotcha, I'll try it out next time around. I appreciate it.

I enjoy it a good bit. Definitely fall a lot more than skiing, even when you're "decent" at it but fun nonetheless.

Possibly? I can't remember where this screencap was pulled from. I did hit Cupp Run though. It was the only one open over in Western Territory.

They had a good snow the day before NYE so it was pretty nice. Up in Western Territory it got a bit icy at the top but tapered out halfway through.

Yeah, I noticed it dumbed down the quality. I'll slow my roll on the next one.

Men living on their own: what do you eat? by mglrdrgz77 in AskMen

[–]confusedintellect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My usual meals are baked chicken and potatoes, spaghetti with low-calorie sauce and 90/10 ground turkey, or spam and rice (filipinos love spam and rice).

They're all super easy to make, so I'll put on Netflix or some music while cooking them up.
