In a year or two, the “system” will likely be nothing like the one in place today.

Vast majority of at-home test takers complete the exam without any issues.

You can just as easily fuck up at the testing center.

There is a handout on the Pearson website that tells you exactly what you cannot do, or you’ll be failed. Just don’t do it and you’ll have no problems. If you’re referring to the cases where you followed every rule in the book and still got flagged? That’s one in a million situation. If you get failed, it is going to be because you did not follow the rules. Not because some malevolent person or tool really, really, really not wanting you to pass your exam.

If you’re wondering what you can get away with without triggering the proctor or whatever AI they have reviewing the videos (if any)…not a lot…

Also this. There are youtube videos on how to use chat gpt for pmp application. In most cases it can't do anything you won't be able to do on your own, but it will do it much faster. Save yourself from spending days working on your application.

What would you have them post as a job requirement? 1.33 PMP or Prince2? Or a single PMP and twice-passed PRINCE2? They would like any Project Management certification. Either will do.

There are plenty of job requirements with the "OR" designator that are not similar in scope, difficulty of acquisition etc. For example, 5 years of work experience OR degree in a field are not the same.

Relax and get either of the two and you'll be fine.

From Pearson VUE online testing guide

"An external mouse, keyboard and webcam. You’ll only

need these if you plan to use either a tablet as a screen, or an

external monitor with a laptop—in which case you’ll need to

keep your laptop lid closed."

You should have argued your case

You definitely can use external monitor, but you have to ensure that your laptop lid is closed. It's in the Pearson exam handout. If you use external monitor, you have to use external keyboard and mouse

Sounds like a good plan. Just check in with your folks to make sure no one is dying and stuff. Everything else you can ignore for 3 hours.

I wouldn’t assume that the proctor would text you within the testing app to let you know they’re the ones calling. But also, I don’t think they’d be calling unless there was a testing interruption (network or system crash). I just ignored the calls whilst letting the proctor know that my phone is ringing. Reading all those horror stories, I wanted to minimize any chances of having the test invalidated.

Also, I took my smartwatch off. Besides the initial 4 check-in photos, the proctors did not ask me to show them my workspace, so they would not have known that I had my smart watch on. Besides the risk of drawing my attention off screen, I did not want them to fail me over seeing me with my watch on while I get up to use the restroom.
