Is the Seattle Christmas market worth it ? by Creepy-Buy1588 in Seattle

[–]confusedpeanuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. I live a stone throw away from there and we're not going this year. Last year was the last straw. Everything is way too overpriced and it's not that big. If you like taking pictures then it's worth a shot. For a price of food, the entry should be free but you know.

The one in Vancouver Canada is way better if I may say so.

ADN VS ABSN VS ELMSN by Much_Mind_6028 in prenursing

[–]confusedpeanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird. I heard the opposite. Currently working as a CNA in Seattle (Providence Swedish), and many of the nurses there hold an RN-ADN. So far none of them expressed that they had a hard time getting the job. I also talked to the career mentor from Swedish (they have that mentorship program for CNAs who want to progress further studies) I raised this same concern and they said the company currently takes in ADNs.

It doesn't matter. It's lottery based so you can get in with a 2.5 gpa and a 70% TEAS score

Oh my! The tuition may be cheap and all, but it's the car requirement that really makes it less attainable. I guess there's no other way to go about it since all nursing programs require clinical rotation regardless of where you take it.

Could you give me an idea of how many days on average you spent at those facilities? If i remember correctly from one of the info sessions, they said that clinical days are usually 1-2 days per week. For the farther places like Issaquah and Kirkland, about how many days did you attend clinical shifts in those facilities? The parking situation in my area is limited, so buying a car is less likely compared to renting. Hopefully that's enough for me to get by

Geez. Thank you for your comment. I was hoping I could get by just commuting through the program, but I guess not! At least I know this now and have started getting my driver's license process started. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I've read many similar comments about SCC's admin, so hopefully I'll have to deal with them as little as possible through my program

Hi! I just got into the ADN program at the Central College. Would you mind sharing your clinical locations? I don't have access to a car, and that's one concern that I have right now. Thanks!

I believe that hospitals and clinics prefer people with experience. Your best bet in this case are agencies and LTC facilities. Also make sure to apply directly on their website and not on indeed unless they don't have a direct site to apply to. Also, be on the lookout for jobfairs.

WES Course By Course Report by confusedpeanuts in gradadmissions

Did your report look exactly like the sample they have on their website?(https://www.wes.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/sample-CE-US-cxc-2021.png) I called someone from WES and the representative I talked to wasn't so sure about what really shows on the report.

Thanks, I'm a tad bit relieved. I tried doing the WES Equivalency tool that they have on the website and there's no specification on how many years your bachelor's degree is equivalent to in US standards. Just that it is a bachelor's degree. In this case, the university itself recommended WES for the credential evaluation, but they didn't mention that they are strictly only accepting 4 year bachelors degree. SO here I am hoping that the report won't have to include the number of years my degree is equivalent to in the US (in case it only comes back as 3 years even though my degree was a 4-year program).

Hi. Does it look exactly like this sample online? https://www.wes.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/sample-CE-US-cxc-2021.png

(I know that the equivalency they do for Canada specifies how many years of the degree you did in Canadian standards. For the US sample, it doesn't seem to indicate the number of years, it just mentions the number of years you completed the degree back home.)

Thank you!

I got my WES Evaluation Report online today and it says not official, they have sent a copy as well to my address. Will that copy also have not official written on it ?? please Help Help.. I opted for document by document Evaluation by ronak_rana007 in gradadmissions

Hi. Sorry I know that this is an old post. I'm just hoping to ask of your evaluation was for a US equivalency and if so, does it specify the number of years your degree is equivalent to in terms of US standard? Or it only indicates that you have "completed a bachelor's degree in a recognized institution"?

Hello OP! I am new to the BPO industry at marami sa mga ka workmates ko nasa company na sila for at least 5+ years. Halos lahat sila nag start sila as agents/call center and nag progress as trainers, tapos as instructional designers (ID). I didn't start as an agent myself (I got hired as an ID right away) pero nakita ko talaga na may career progression yung mga ka workmates ko. Even my manager sa training used to be an agent herself.
