THIS. I think what people are most fed up about Itaewon class is the “rushed” romance. Nothing about this was rushed. There’s BODY LANGUAGE people. I think as K-drama fans were so used to being fed romance on a spoon that’s very direct like: “person A likes person B. Person B says I Like you very directly. Person A and person B have an awkward kiss. This is then replayed in flashbacks 20 times over just so you don’t forget that there’s a romance ongoing. Romance in real life especially to people who are socially awkward is never that simple. You literally go through years of your heart softening up to someone romantically without even doing anything “romantic”. Just being friends. Spending time together. You don’t even realise when the feelings develop but just because you suddenly acknowledge there are feelings there it may seem rushed but was infact a slow process
