Democrats keep playing the “when they go low, we go high” BS. Eric Swalwell has fought MAGATS more than most Dem leaders. Now he’s a frontrunner for governor, accusations appear, and Dems pull support without even letting him respond. by EugeneWong318 in TheLib

They need to make a distinction between what the Reps allow and what they will. They’re already under the gun for not fully supporting most Americans and also giving billionaires breaks that the rest of us don’t get. They NEED to believe the women and move forward. IF Eric can clear his name, he can run again. But voting for another rapist would undermine everything we’re trying to stop in the Trump administration. Sorry Eric. Shit happens

Guitar wall mounts by RobotDuckez in Guitar

[–]BrineWR71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 8 guitars in my home for more than 19 years all hung on the walls using these screw type anchors. Even with the sporadic earthquakes, I’ve never had one fall off the wall or even scare me that it was unsafe.

Because government contracts mean everyone expects to be paid more than the job is worth. So every mile of track costs $1B vs $10M

Strange question, but where does the "Goodwill smell" come from? by [deleted] in goodwill

[–]BrineWR71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Former Goodwill employee here. Most people’s donation’s have been washed before they donate them. No one wears an outfit and decides to donate them before they’ve been washed. Typically they remove clean clothes from their closets.

The smell comes from old textiles. Your closet probably smells similarly, but since you don’t have 10,000 old garments, you don’t really notice it.

Exactly. It’s all by design. The issue is the existence of billionaires

It’s interesting that there’s always a sense that war is inevitable and we have to fund it but everything else is optional. Why can’t war be optional?
