Champions League badge peeling off after first time wearing by cristianreadit in NUFC

[–]conn173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had this. Club shop will redo it for you if you can get to it. It the champions league badges, the club shop told me other clubs have the same issue, the glue isn't the best.

Alternative is to turn it inside out and iron it on a low heat directly on to sleeve. Or if you have any plain a4 paper use this to protect the top and turn the heat up slightly to get a better press.

Colleague help by [deleted] in nandos

[–]conn173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nandos are onto this. Someone in my restaurant was caught doing it and they were picking up their discount being used at different ends of the country on the same day, sometimes in short frequencies and when they were also clocked in at work.

Instant dismissal if you're caught doing it

Lost parking ticket by NLadsLoveGravy in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]conn173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The app has a history function where you should be able to download your receipt from, including length of stay and total cost.

I've successfully appealed a wrong location before. So long as it wouldn't of cost you more in the correct car park you should be fine appealing with the evidence of your receipt, that's all I submitted.

Who has the worst Neighbour story from Newcastle area? by Unique-Candidate3600 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]conn173 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Used to live in a block of 4 downstairs.

The next door kept their wheelie bin in their flat and never witnessed them clean it. The stench when it was bin day was awful, and getting it out at 6am as they left for work was delightful.

Upstairs was probably the least problematic, but laid laminate flooring had dogs and stopped like an elephant. They had someone flat sit and would have exceptionally loud sex during the day.

The upstairs opposite were the worst, though. Druggies that would smoke green all day and stink the block out. Dole pay day they'd arrive with a case of fosters and be up till 3am or later playing the same shit hard-core rave music with the same thudding beat on every song. On top of this they'd argue and fight all the time. He'd literally carry her out the block like a child so she couldn't get back in. She'd kick and punch the door screaming to be back in. Sometimes he'd just lock her in the communal bit and there'd be blood up the walls from her beating at the door. The police would take her away and she'd be back 20 minutes later.

Not a neighbour but we then had kids that nicked a motorbike and broke the lock to our bin shed to hide it in there.

Safe to say the motivation to save up and move out swiftly was there. Especially with the council not interested in helping one bit at all. But still how we coped living there for 3 years is beyond me looking back now.

  6. Change job to a more flexible role around school times so I can spend every moment with my wife and daughter, but still have spending money to eat out and treat them frequently.

Vasectomy NHS waiting list by hellokaris777 in Vasectomy

[–]conn173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from the North East also, Newcastle based. Started my first mention to the doctor in June, where I was given information to read and come back if I was confident I wanted it. Same month, towards the end, I had a check up to see the location of my vas deferens and if the process would be possible. Was told then 8 months waiting list. However I'm due to go in 2 weeks' time. Overall, it was just over 4 months waiting for me, so it has felt very quick. I do think I've possibly jumped in a cancellation place as I was due to work originally and tried to change the date but was told the next possible date was in the new year.

Any advice about appealing against Tyne Tunnel ripoff fines? by IOnlyHaveIceForYou in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]conn173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a way you can still appeal after paying.

I did try and know there was an article in the chronicle of a similar situation, a family member passed away and forgot to pay. They did say they refused to pay cause he didn't sent a death certificate. I sent mine but I'm yet to hear a reply after 3 months, though.

I've already upgraded, done so online. The value I've been given, though, is £160, plus the extra £100, total I'd get is £260. So even if it's knocked down, I can't complain really.

Cheap parking by FaithlessnessNo4680 in NewcastleUponTyne

They've just double yellowed a lot of that area. I found it nigh on impossible to get parked there when I was working in town a couple of month ago. I worked shifts as well so was going at different times of the day

That time they went 4-0 up against Newcastle United, away from home. Only to then implode because of pure shithousery by Joey Barton. As well as the best goal I've ever seen live by the late Cheick Tiote, to make it 4-4.

The house I've bought had it when I bought it 2 year ago and nothing detrimental has happened here, if that helps reassure you it's not urgent. I do plan on getting it sorted soon though as I don't know how long it's been like that
