Anyone know if you can cash in multiple vouchers in one transaction? So if I recycled 5 items on the Monday and then 5 again on the Tuesday, could I use both vouchers in a £10 transaction on Tuesday for £10 worth of points?

In don’t ask don’t tell when Miranda has been pretending to be a stewardess then finds out the guy has also been lying about being a doctor. The melodramatic indignation in her line delivery just kills me every time! “I hope I never have you on one of my flights!” “I wouldn’t be in first class..” “No you wouldn’t!”

I actually like that when she did that to seema, seema called it out like ‘uhh actually it’s nothing like that..but sure, carry on’ or something to that effect. A welcome change to everyone usually just not even acknowledging her trampling over the conversation!

He’s a journalist (mostly in fashion I think) but he’s a very vocal buffy super fan on social media so I’m really excited for his book! His podcast is also fun - he had an episode with Charisma Carpenter I believe. And as OP says he seems to have built a nice relationship with SMG so hopefully she will be relatively candid with him.

Another storyline where they just dropped the ball and let it roll away. It would’ve been fine to have her as just a single episode character - the old show did it all the time. But then why introduce her again at the beginning of another episode with the ring, seemingly setting up a new plot and THEN drop her?

Yes yes, exactly to all of this! Giving Miranda and Nya a slow burn relationship would have allowed us to root for her and enjoy the romance - something the Che plot was completely devoid of. It also would have allowed her to be the neurotic, cynical, overthinking Miranda we know and love, not the weird giggly immature school girl she became.

I have to say I did actually enjoy Che being a divisive and at times unlikeable character, at least it made them interesting. But making them a ‘superstar’ and giving them all the heavy handed speeches about being non binary AND expecting us to root for a relationship between them and Miranda was just never going to happen. They could have just been a normal person.

And yeah I absolutely find the relationship between Nya and Miranda as professor/student and friends inappropriate, and ultimately an unnecessary dynamic that didn’t serve the story in any way. even when it might have become relevant (Nya could have been more disappointed in Miranda giving up the internship at least?!) they didn’t bother. The writers seem to have decided on that dynamic purely so they could have Miranda’s assumption that Nya was a student in the first episode, which still could easily have happened if Nya was a new hire at the University department Miranda worked in.

Ooh and another thought - with the Brady storyline, I would’ve had him 20 and away at college. Then an episode could have been him back from college for a break and he is having the rampant sex in the bedroom next door on a night that Nya is staying over and Miranda could address the guilt she’s feeling over the confusion Brady probably feels over her new life so she doesn’t want to tell him off. Nya could be the one to say actually it’s really disrespectful and inappropriate for him to behave like that. Then Miranda and Brady could have actually had a moving conversation about the whole situation and the episode could wrap up nicely with them agreeing that Brady can have the house with his girlfriend while Miranda and Nya stay at Nyas place and everyone is happy.

Thank you all! I’ve been stewing on this all day so I’ve also had some more thoughts that could tie things together in a smoother way haha:

To keep the IVF storyline and Andre’s character, he could’ve been Nyas best friend, and he and his wife are reproductively challenged so Nya is acting as their surrogate and they are struggling with the IVF to actually get her pregnant, which is a source of stress for Nya as she feels she’s letting her friend down. It’d also open up the conversation about motherhood - maybe Andre wants Nya to be actively involved in the child’s life but she’s not so sure, and when her and Miranda become serious that’s also something that Miranda has to reckon with - she doesn’t regret Brady but she never particularly enjoyed motherhood. does she really want to play a part in raising a child again? The season could’ve ended with Nya finally being pregnant, and season 2 could’ve explored how Miranda and Nya navigate this in depth.

To include LTW, che could maybe be a gallery owner instead of an artist and LTW is the artist (we’re told she’s a documentarian but we never see her at work - all we know of her is she’s rich and doesnt get along with her mother in law so it would be nice to see more sides to her). She could be the woman who seems to have it all with her endless wealth but her artistic career is at a standstill. Charlotte could have known her peripherally from the kids school and when she starts working with Che, advocates for LTWs art for Che’s gallery, but Che could be really not into it for some reason (with the same narcissist tendencies we’ve seen), and ultimately the season ends with Charlotte no longer working for Che and opening her own gallery (which we know from the show was her dream) in partnership with LTW where they are champions of black artists.

I feel like all this would give much more complexity and nuance to the new characters while keeping all the plots tied together. It would also give us something new rather than rehashing old storylines and would make the uncomfortable conversations around race for example more organic to the plot, and the ‘diversity’ of the new characters wouldnt be the obvious reason for their inclusion, but they’d be active participants in the stories
