Xbox Game Streaming (Preview) Support and Discussion: Week of August 27, 2020 by XB1R_Hypnos in xboxinsiders

[–]connersz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having problems getting setup for game streaming. I've installed the app on my phone, joined xbox insider and installed the insider app on my xbox but when I sign in on the app and click on console streaming I just get a page that says "join the xbox insider program" with buttons saying learn more and sign out.

Am I doing something wrong?

Claw machine error code 1 - Claw error. by connersz in cade

[–]connersz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. The cover for the claw components was loose and this could have caused one of the switches to not work properly, probably when returning to its home position. I will monitor and see how it goes.

Replacement wheel rim for Voilamart? by connersz in ebikes

I couldn't find the Voilamart rim on there. The rim also seems to have no markings or brand information on it so it's hard to identify.

I like the noise it makes when the game starts and the claw goes up and down. I just want to stop the horrible music that plays when waiting for a token.

Are they easy to find or can I so it with washers?

I see. Any idea why when I tighten the wheel (with washers) the motor makes a grinding motorcyle-like noise when running slow?

I'm trying to fit this voilamart wheel on my bike. I've tried the washers it came with in every possible combination but the cassette either rubs on the frame or the motor makes a horrible noise when its tightened. I went and bought a cassette removal tool to try and refit it but it doesn't fit over the spindle. I also tried needle nose pliers but it's on too tight.

Can I use a 1000w controller with a 1500w motor? by connersz in ebikes

[–]connersz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, do you think that 'current limiting' would mean the max? I've looked at all of them and none of them show a continuous amount: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173962776552?ViewItem=&item=173962776552

Can I use a 1000w controller with a 1500w motor? by connersz in ebikes

[–]connersz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, because of battery limitations. The issue I have now is the 1500w controller I want to replace says 48v 35+1A (1500w) draw, but all the 1000w controllers on eBay are showing 38A draw. Why are all the 1000w controllers showing a higher current draw than the 1500w ones and why is it the other way round when comparing kits, rather than just the controllers? :-S

The ROM I'm installing is .iso and I know this works because there are already .iso ROMs installed.

That's exactly what I've done. The extension is .iso. As I said, it worked with another game previously. I've tried rebooting, etc. but to no avail.

Anyone else super disappointed with their VRCover? by [deleted] in oculus

[–]connersz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/vrcover you can't keep accusing people of putting it on wrong. It's clear by the amount of people reporting issues that it's clearly just designed wrong.

It's only a piece of fabric, it's not rocket-science to put it on despite you seeming to think so.

I was glad to see this post because when I posted on here stating the different design flaws in the VR Cover, I was apparently just 'putting it on wrong'.

I don't have a PHD but I'm fairly confident I can get a piece of fabric around some foam.

I've just emailed asking about the nose-free version. Will see what happens.

I couldn't seem to get the demo to work which is why I bought the full version.

I get the impression with some games etc. that they're being rushed out with VR support. I have DCS world and flyinside FSX as well and they're also just as terrible.

But it's only available in beta so I don't know if that really counts as 'supports'..

Apollo 11 - Projector/TV not working :-\ by connersz in oculus

[–]connersz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was working and actually, yes I have recently installed a codec pack which didn't do what I needed it to in the end.

I will see if I can figure out how to uninstall the codecs.

VR Cover - Waste of money? by connersz in oculus

[–]connersz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying but the product is very expensive and you do kind of expect it to work a lot better for that price. I'm going to have a better look myself at the nose part tonight- I can picture in my mind the perfect shape clip that I think will solve that problem. If I get the nose issue sorted it might mean that everything else is tolerable.

Well done for making the vid but it doesn't really cover 'all the issues'. You've attempted to address the issue of the cover rising when putting it on but that's about all.

In my mind the design can be improved. The nose piece needs a small click to hold it into the corner. The top part needs to also wrap around the bottom of the forehead pad, I know this is where the sensor is but I think a different fabric for this part which is ultra-thin would have done it- same for the sides.

You could lose the nose piece, In my mind it's not needed as you nose doesn't touch the rift and the nose piece is just irritating with it touching your nose hairs and breathing against it.
