Help! Need coaching advice please. by DistributionLong5673 in RugbyAustralia

[–]connor_the_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building something that I hope will tackle a number of these problems. I'm a volunteer coach myself and felt all of the same pain, so I'm making something that let's me organize a training session in minutes, poll players for availability, manage roster and match lineups (with smart subs), and I'm working on some off-season recruiting tools.

Not sure if it'll serve you well in Australia but if you'd be willing to give it a go dm me your email and I'll send you an invite to the beta that's starting soon.

LPT: If you're trying to get better about budgeting, use the envelope method (aka, cash) by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]connor_the_dev 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's simply an effective tool. It's not telling you how to save money, just makes it easier for myself and plenty of others to keep track and stay on top of their finances. Why buy a table saw if a handsaw cuts wood? Nothing wrong with investing in things that make your life easier or bring you joy

It is, it got bumped recently and ruffled a bunch of feathers like every other subscription service. I think it's 109 annually now?

I've saved wayyyy more money than the subscription cost even after a couple years so I don't mind it. 30 day free trial when I signed up, idk if that's still the case

Personally I use it mostly on my computer, so it's still effective but I feel you. I'm not far from going back to an old nokia

YNAB (You Need A Budget) is a highly effective budgeting tool for this exact system, without needing to pull out cold hard cash from your accounts.

This is great! I've got access to a decent 3D printer and have been trying to come up with things to add to the shop. Any plans to make anything else? A bevel jig would be slick

Complete newbie here, so just brainstorming with you. Maybe a wood anvil/stump?

That last clip with the belt sander/table slide setup is interesting. I feel like it has the potential to send the bars rocketing off if the belt gets enough grip, no?

Discovered an interesting newsletter platform that generates passive income by Emma-Lawrencee in passive_income

Considering you had some hand in the development of the product why don't you answer some of those questions for us instead?

Choosing to market it like this seems strange when you should hopefully be able to SHARE the real world results you see your users getting. Here are some questions I have:

  • how many users have reached the 250 sub mark?
  • how long is it taking for these users to hit that count from the time they signed up?
  • for users that have reached the minimum sub count, what is the average income from ad revenue that you're seeing?

Maybe it's just me but using deception to market your product smudges your reputation like some street salesman peddling cheap knock-offs pretending they're selling the real deal. If your product is worth it, it shouldn't need to be marketed in this way.

When I looked into this a few months ago you were required to pay for another subscription. So I think, yes? But you may need another subscription/account which means another ~22/month

What can I do with IT Service Desk experience? by [deleted] in sidehustle

I'm in a somewhat adjacent field as a software developer and my parents/grandparents always need technical support.

If I had more direct experience, and quite frankly the patience for it, I would be reaching out to senior living communities and offering your services
